Dr. Paul Kerner, MD

Dr. Kerner performed a right big toe fusion on me March 12. I had end stage arthritis and severe pain before surgery. I had a follow up appointment and X-rays on April 8, 4 weeks post-op. I am now allowed to drive and walk with regular shoes. Foot is still swollen and very tender, but that is to be expected. My entire experience including office visits and surgery was better than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Kerner for any foot issues.

Great doctor

Dr. Kerner performed surgery on my foot three days ago. It went smoothly and as described by him in a prior office visit. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. My only complaint would be that he seemed to be in a hurry which made it somewhat difficult to discuss all of my questions or concerns. Overall though, he did a very good job.

Everything went great on my visit to Dr. Kerner. Although he admitted he did not have answers immediately and since I was an out of town patient, he gave me some treatment suggestions and agreed. I should follow up with my foot and ankle surgeon at home. My story was complex and I felt he gave me all the time necessary to tell it.The wait time was very brief, the check-in and out procedures were very efficient. I believe Dr. Kerner to be an excellent orthopedic specialist, and I admired his conservative course of treatment and his openness to discuss my case.If I have a need to return, I definitely will seek him out.

Orthopedic specialist with straight forward manner. Listened to and addressed all of my questions and concerns. Very good visit and very good interaction. Explained options so I could make my decision on how to proceed.

Dr. Kerner gives options of things to be done. He did not insist on surgery but suggested trying other things.

Dr. Paul Kerner is an experienced Orthopedic that is able to blend his knowledge with an easy going manner. I got the best of both words with professional experience and ease of communication combined. I will recommend Dr. Kerner to my friends and colleagues for any ankle or foot needs.

Dr. Kerner was professional and understood what my pain was. He ordered PT. I found Dr. Kerner charming and a good listener.

The visit was super fast. I got a cortisone shot which turns out it helped the pain from 2 torn ligaments in foot (noted from MRI). He told me if the cortisone doesn't work in a day or two he would see me back. And he left immediately after giving the shot. So I assumed I was free to go and did so. I didnt get any detail about the torn ligaments or what to expect. I didnt get any instructions on how to care for afterwards. Do I keep wearing the boot if pain stops? Do I go back to work after the shot or rest?

He has a great personality, and seems to really care about his patients. Took a safe and protected approach to my injury and made me confident in my path to recovery. Really appreciate him.
