Great POTS Dr
I’ve dealt with POTS with no obvious cause for about two years now and Dr lelorier has been very involved in my process to find a possible cause & what was truly going on from the beginning despite my case being relatively difficult and me just choosing not to test because I’m stubborn and didn’t want to take off of work lol, but once I was ready to test again and find a treatment he was right there with me and ordered my test He was the first doctor to believe me that I had side pain and immediately set me up with the proper doctor to investigate. He has reassured me that my symptoms have a reason and aren’t in my head and has listened to all my concerns. Lowkey kinda hard to talk to over messages and lowkey has some social skill issues, but he’s still nice just straight forward and a tad forgetful but I’ll take that over someone who doesn’t care or doesn’t listen

We walked in was immediately pulled back by the nurse to prep my chart and the minute she walked out Dr Lelorier came in. He was very thorough and addressed EVERY question and concern that I had. He did not rush through the appointment and was very informative on the testing he was ordering and educated me on what to expect during each test. After seeing many doctors to address my many symptoms I finally feel heard and confident that he will be able to pin point exactly what is going on. Definitely worth the drive from Lafayette to New Orleans. I did have quite a long wait to get in but it’s expected when seeing a specialist for the first time and he assured me that since having this initial consultation any follow ups will not have such a long wait to be seen. If you are having a difficult time with doctors trying to diagnose and look at your symptoms collectively and not individually he is definitely worth seeing. As previously stated he does not rush and does not dismiss any concerns.

Terrible just continue to read
After a 7 hour EP study for a common, very easy syndrome “due to technicalities” they couldn’t find an issue. He didn’t speak a word to me after. Never set up a follow up and any time I would call to schedule one they said he wasn’t available. Hm. Fast forward to 2023 where a new EP is looking at every piece of Paul’s study, 90% of what was written is proven wrong based on the facts of the study. Nothing is adding up. Documents say i have low watt output - wrong, the study says it’s normal. Document says only 50% of my left vent pathway works - also not true, everything is normal. Told him I wanted to be off of medication he said why would anyone want to be off of medication if it fixes the issue (instead of digging to actually fix the issue) complete lack of empathy, lack of self awareness and lack of what seems to be intelligence based on his report that was highly incorrect. EXTREMELY concerning coming from an EP.

He keeps trying
I’ve seen numerous specialists and have had a battery of tests in an attempt to determine what is wrong with my health. I ended up with Dr. LeLorier because a neurologist thought my illness might fall under the dysautonomia umbrella. Dr. LeLorier arranged for autonomic testing…and I was only borderline. I am grateful that he hasn’t dropped me as a patient. He continues to question me and to arrange tests in an effort to figure out a diagnosis for my “mysterious” illness. Some say his bedside manner is lacking, but I appreciate that he is straightforward and to the point.

Intelligent and seeks answers to troubling health problems, but sometimes I get the feeling that he's leaving out important information. All in all, I do trust him and would recommend him.
