Dr. Perry Maloff, MD

I was a patient of Dr Maloff ..it's was a worker's comp case I have never met such caring Dr in my experience I was blessed him and his staff did everything possible to take care me...thank you Dr Malof and your wonderful staff Love you all...James Ozaeta..

Psychiatry is an extremely complex specialty, both diagnoses and treatments are challenging to identify and adjust as needed. In my experience Dr. Maloff does both with expertise, ease, and grace. I don’t know what my family and I would’ve done without his intervention. We are exceedingly grateful and pray he’ll be around for a long time. It’s so difficult to find a good psychiatrist, let alone an outstanding one like Dr. Maloff.

Dr Maloff is pompous, self centered and has no patients. He either doesn’t hear his patients or just doesn’t care! His way or no way. He is confrontational by and demeaning. My experience with Dr Maloff was terrible. I had to fire him!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Maloff for over 15 years and I can honestly say that he has been instrumental in my spouse's recovery from PTSD and depression. It is not easy for my husband to trust health practitioners, but Dr. Maloff has always treated him with respect and kindness.

He accepted me as a patient. I have read a lot of negative reviews and I want to state that a psychiatrist is different than a psychologist to the extent that a psychiatrist can use heuristics to diagnose a disorder. They don’t listen extensively like a psychotherapist would. I will update this post eventually but yes, having read lots of reviews on this doctor, I sense the writer’s voice is the same writer simply rephrasing negative experiences on different posts. To that extent, we are broken and hopeless when we seek his services and I hope that brings the humanity back to this process. We can appear angry when we are just agitated by our internal disorders. We can appear unfriendly when we hear voices. My demeanor comes off disorganized and people never know what I am talking about. I hope for pleasant interactions with this guy.

If your are looking a professional health provider, go somewhere else. my experience with his office staff was the worst. I made an appointment way over a month in advance as this was the only doctor that has the most prompt availability. I gave the office staff all my insurance information at the time of making the appointment. You would think that with a month time frame they could have verified my insurance coverage. The most frustrating part of this experience was that they had me confirm my appointment a few days before; which i did. the day before my appointment the staff calls me to let me know the procedure of how the doctor would be contacting me via Telehealth and what i need to do to access. Then no more than an hour later the same staff member call me to tell me that the doctor is out of my insurance network and that i don't have out of network benefits. she said that they received the information that same day so i couldn't be seen by the doctor the next day. BOLD LIE!!!!

I love Dr. Maloff. He and his staff are so knowledgeable and go above and beyond to get their patience the help they need. I highly recommend he and his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Maloff for over a year now. He is by far the best psychology doctor that I've ever had. I feel I can talk to him about anything. He is very engaging and genuinely interested to hear what I have to say.

Dr. Maloff is helping to improve the quality of my mind and life with his expertise and experience. He is also kind and compassionate. I'm in good care and recommend him highly.

I've only had two appointments with him. I believe he's very knowledgeable. I think he's a little impatient but not a big problem. I suppose because he's seen and heard so many things for so long. I believe he cares and is sincere. He is monitoring my prognosis while I am under medication. Has given me very good suggestions on how to monitor myself and work on my outlook. The appointments are very quick. With any psychiatrist or psychotherapist, you need to have a 'click' that works.

If your researching and upcoming appt, or considering this Dr for your Psychiatrist, be warned. Especially if you are on workers comp. He is narcissistic and does not care about his patients mental health. As many other reviewers have said he is a hired gun for the insurance companies, to help them close your case. He saw me for all of a few minutes before rudely kicking me out of his office and then gave a 7 page report to ins. Company saying my issues were pre-existing. Don't choose this guy!

Dr. Maloff is insightful, caring and has helped me immensely since I have gone to him. He went out of his way to help my own professional career as an RN.

My son didn't like him at all. Zero connection. Strange attitude. One time visit and we're moving on.
