I went after having my baby. I told him everything that was going on and my concerns on each issue. He completely ignored me and because of that I had t go to the ER. But if he had addressed the issues and my concerns I would not have had to go to the ER.

Unfortunately, I chose Dr. Heinlein because of my initial visit with him. His demeanor then changed shortly after I chose him as my provider. He initially seemed somewhat understanding and helpful towards the particular situation I saw him for. After this I saw him for something else in which I was greatly concerned and wanted to get thoroughly checked out and I was immediately dismissed by him. I asked if there was any other tests or things that he could offer to help me (knowing that there were more options) and he replied with a cold no. Nothing else I can do. I felt like I wasn’t being listened to or taken seriously, and for a man to be in this practice you need to listen attentively to your patients. I got zero empathy towards the situation and zero referral to get help from another department. He seems to be over his career and I wish I could’ve picked up on that sooner. Please ladies, look else where.

Avoid
I was surprised by Dr. Heinlein’s attitude and would not recommend him. I’ve never had such a negative interpersonal experience with a healthcare provider. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I don’t want other women / people expecting compassion and thoughtful care to have to see him, if you can avoid it.

I had a phone appointment with Dr. P. Heinlein that lasted only 8 and a half minutes, and it was the most disrespectful transaction in all my years of receiving medical care at Kaiser. I feel so completely floored by how disrespectfully Dr. P. Heinlein treated me that I feel compelled to warn other women to avoid him. While he may very well be a knowledgeable professional in many ways, it is my firm opinion, based on this single experience, that he should not have the care of women in his hands—that’s how shaken this interaction left me. I talked to Dr. Heinlein while in a state of stress, as I was experiencing rather scary symptoms (at least to me). I know I can sound a little intense when I am in a state of fear, and I assume this is why he reacted as he did. Perhaps he thought he was being reassuring by interrupting me continuously(?), but it felt extremely frustrating to not be able to get my words out. When I demanded that he let me please finish what I was trying to say, he told
