Lazy and overconfident
Dr. Shedden ignored the symptoms I was having and refused to send me for imaging. I was having single-sided facial numbness and ear fullness. He referred me to a dentist and an ENT when I had already seen both. I have an acoustic neuroma, and not a small one. I had to wait an extra 10 weeks for care - that's 10 unnecessary weeks of tumor growth and wondering what's happening to me. It wouldn't have cost him anything to send me for an MRI.On top of his inaction, he seemed angry that I was educated and motivated to access care for myself. He was dismissive of other providers that I thoroughly researched (who have provided good care to me and family members), condescending about my having come to him without a referral (not necessary for my insurance), and his note about the appointment was terribly inaccurate - history and symptoms were totally wrong. Dr. Shedden might be available fast, but don't be fooled - you deserve better care than this guy can provide.

Dr Sheddan was an awesome doctor but some of his staff. I wouldn’t say that for. also when you pay a deductible, you never get it back and then now he wants to charge you a cash fee to even cut you open. I think that’s absurd since they get a fee for the surgery anyway

Excellent doctor who improved my wife’s life
My wife had pain in her left shoulder and arm for last four years. Dr Shedden performed precision surgery with the result of her having no pain nor numbness the day after. Amazing work and skill! I thank God for having someone as skilled as him.

HE may be a good doctor but you need to get past his RUDE staff to know. They had the audacity to ask me to call a friend to use their debit card to make pmts. I was using a nationally used CC that they didn’t tell me they didn’t take. I drove over 100+ miles to not let me see him for that reason only. Greed!!! I offered for them to file my ins and they refused and offered for them to call the referring physician to help me and they refused. I would pay if they would bill. I guess when you have that much $$$ one appt can’t possibly hurt you. ??

I was injured in a wreck that totaled my car, and had worsening pain in my left arm so bad i could not think, or function at all. I suffered and lived on pain pills for years. Dr. Shedden operated on my injured neck, and 2 days later i left the hospital pain free, and pill free. This was about 10 years ago, and the neuropathy down my left arm is still gone. I think he is a great doctor.

Dr. Shedden is an amazing neurosurgeon with a gentle personality. He takes time to answer all of your questions, explaines procedures on a common level and is very knowledgeable. We felt very fortunate to have him do the neck fusion.

He performed a MVD surgery in October, 2016. However, there was a rare complication, a CSF leak 8 days later. He performed the surgery again as there was no way to determine what caused the CSF Leak. I have found his follow-up care to be thorough and informative.

Dr Shedden is my hero. What do you say about someone who gave you your life back? I was close to being in a wheelchair from unremitting sciatica pain and spinal stenosis. I knew it was gone as soon as I woke up from the surgery. I had some really awful days ahead to heal from the surgeries; a laminectomy and two fusions, but I never did regret a moment for what I received in return....a chance to enjoy my life again. I thank God that Dr Shedden has the skill and expertise to fix me.
