Dr. Rachel Tangaro, MD

Dr Tangaro is so patient and understanding and listens so well. I trust her completely and would recommend her to anyone looking for a new dr. She is the best, her nurse and the office staff are very good also.

Our primary physician was no longer available. We liked the services at Skagit Regional Health in Mt. Vernon so we inquired about physicians taking new patients. Dr. Tangaro was one of six. I just had my first appointment with her, and was very satisfied. She didn't rush, explored details about my medical history, offered guidance on my chronic headaches, and encouraged a joint medical relationship (I'm 77). No hesitation to say when she didn't know something, but quickly volunteered to do research. I will enjoy working with her. My wife will also meet with her to establish the same relationship.

Dr. Tangaro was very compassionate, listened to my health concerns and was knowledgeable about the things I inquired about. I had experienced a few doctors that were very judgmental and quite frankly rude in regards to my situation, but Dr. Tangaro was quite the opposite. Her staff were also very kind and pleasant! I am a recent patient to her after my previous doctor left the practice. I really like her and thought I had found someone to help me with all the problems I have. But I just got a notice that she will also be leaving the practice in <2 months. Now I have to get to know yet another new doctor. I've been coming to this office for many years, but Dr. Tangaro will be the third doctor to leave this practice in less than a year, and I'm just talking about my doctors. I didn't notice whether others I wasn't working with also left. I don't understand the sudden turnover and I'm going to find another clinic that hopefully won't keep shuffling me to a new person every six months. I'm tired of it. This has always been a great clinic. Friendly staff, fast test results, normal wait times. Until recently it was easy to get an appointment within a few days but since my previous provider left the schedule fills up fast. If I want to see my doctor I have to book a month out.

Dr. Tangaro is a very compassionate doctor. She provides amazing care, and is very attentive to her patients’ needs. She is quick to reply to questions, and very willing to work with you to find a solutions to health issues that work. I am so glad that I found her as my primary physician!

Two weeks after I initially saw Dr. Tangaro for my diabetes, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and she has been there for me without hesitation ever since. She makes me feel like I am her only patient. She is everything a doctor should be; knowledgeable, professional, patient, compassionate and just a super fantastic individual. I felt comfortable with her from the start and I feel lucky I found her. She is my rock! Thanks to her my health has drastically improved and I am so grateful. The staff at Millcreek Primary Care are absolutely the best as well. They have all treated me with the utmost respect and kindness.

I made an appointment with Dr Tangaro for two reasons, I had recently went to the ER with severe stomach pain, and I was due for my annual physical. Dr Tangaro recommended that the tests I had at the ER be verified because the results of many were out of acceptable levels. We also discussed which tests would be helpful to verify the ER tests and which tests would be appropriate for my annual physical. Every time a test was returned from the lab, she would contact me through their messaging system (MYCHART) and explain any results that were a concern. All of the results of the new tests were normal and it was very comforting for me to know them so quickly. I really appreciated Dr Tangaro's concern for my well being.

When I was having trouble because of my old iphone connecting, Dr. Tangaro took the time to call me and then we did FaceTime. She always has time for your questions and concerns. She is very knowledgeable but doesn't hesitate to refer you to a specialist if need. When I had a medical issue that other practices did not want to deal with Dr. Tangaro took me on as a new patient. I have been her patient for nearly 2 years and have been very pleased.

Dr. Tangaro is awesome. Listened to us, made suggestions, did not talk down to us. Respected our decisions. So happy we found her.

Dr. Tangaro and her entire staff were remarkably diligent and attentive when my wife and I recently met her as new patients. The care and focus placed on our medical (and family) histories was outstanding. It's so evident that Dr. Tangaro has a keen interest in her patients' well-being.
