Terrible Doctor
Had an initial new patient, video call visit with Dr. Afghan. All she seemed to be concerned with were the prescriptions I received from past Doctors. No care of the actual issues to determine a treatment plan and total disregard for actual patient care. Terrible!!! I did not even ask for prescriptions, just provided what had been prescribed.?.. Very rude from the start and would NEVER recommend this person to anyone.

Discharged me after I disagreed with her diagnosis. The doctor believes she is a god and that she is always right.

Dr. was rude, rushed, & made my daughter feel really uncomfortable. I had to end the appointment less than 10 minutes after it started. Will be reporting to my insurance.

Gosh all I can say is DO NOT GO TO HER. She does not take how you feel into consideration. She is cold, rude and belittling. She gave me an ultimatum and said if I don't like it go somewhere else. Finally this nightmare is over and I'M GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I attended one session with Dr. Afghan and I will never return as a client because I have self respect. As patients, we all deserve to be heard, respected, and aided by the providers who serve us. I too am a healthcare provider and I have NEVER experienced a more uncaring provider than Dr. Afghan. She belittles her patients, doesn’t listen to your medical history with care and cannot repeat it with accuracy, makes assumptions to reach a diagnosis, and bypasses questions (I can only guess because she doesn’t know the answer to them or she doesn’t care). My internal warning light was going off throughout my appointment and I’m glad I care enough for myself and well-being to never see her again. I’m placing this review anonymously to let any future patients of hers to know that, you deserve better than this. Don’t settle for poor care because it’s the easiest option; keep looking until you find a provider who deserves to wear their white coat and who lives by the Hippocrates Oath.

Definitely not a great psychiatrist. Met with her twice so far and she has zero compassion for her patients. Get in, get medicated, get out. Not recommended. Find a new psychiatrist.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Afghan to anyone on this planet. She is there to give you medication and get you out as fast as she can. She gave me medication for my depression and anxiety and all it did was make me shake and sweat like I’ve just gotten out of the shower. Once I told her that she got angry with me and told me that I’m complaining for no reason and I was to continue taking that medication. Once that happened I changed my doctor immediately.

This "psychiatrist" is horrible. She is rude, judgemental and uncaring. It takes a lot for someone to gather the courage and reach out for help and this physician is one of the worst mental health providers I have ever encountered. I completely agree with all the other negative reviews that are posted about her. Do not waste your time with her, go to basically any other psychiatrist that you can go to.

This is the most horrible doctor I've ever seen. Prescribed me a medication that made my symptoms worse without telling me this would happen. Has the worst bedside manner, rude and uncaring. I saw her once and I'm not going back.

I had The worst experience I have ever with Dr. Afghan. She was the coldest rudest most unprofessional doctor I have ever came across. I just came out of In patient care followed by outpatient group therapy. I had been diagnosed with PTSD on two separate occasions That are both quite severe. I brought in my discharge papers and my medications So she had full access to the severity of why I needed to be there. She disregarded all of it and listened to Nothing I had to say.

Ive been with Dr afgan for around 5 years and she is wonderful! I have major depression and general and social anxiety which leaves me unable to leave my house if I dont take medication. I have never had a problem with the corona office, my refills are always prompt or if I have an issue its always resolved quickly. Dr afgan is fast which I love also. I have never waited more than ten minutes to be seen. Would definitely recommend, I am also and RN

She is cold, impersonal and likes to yell at her patients apparently. She yelled at me because I had to skip and appointment due to no gas money to get there. She yelled at me because of this. I have complex PTSD. She should be very lucky that I've moved into a place with myself where violence doesn't play a part in my life. Otherwise, I probably would have knocked her in the mouth for the way she treated me. I would NEVER recommend this woman for ANY psych issues whatsoever.

Less than zero The staff at her office is less than honest I made no less than 5 calls to get my prescription refiled for extreme depression. Anglia told me it was electronically sent. The pharmacy said the type o prescription I requested was a controlled substance & could not be electronically set. On the 5th call Angelica said she spoke directly w/doctor & would call pharmacy. Both Rosa and Angelica lied to me. laughed when I called. Told me to have a nice day & hung on me
