Dr. Rajana Meka, MD

I've tried for weeks to get Dr. Meka to refill a prescription for me to no avail. She is completely unresponsive and doesn't return calls or messages. Whatever you do, do NOT go see this doctor.

After having me wait outside for over 45 mins she came in for my visit and she stood by the door the whole time with her rolling desk in front of her. Not once did she exam me. She was not listening to any of my concerns or request. She came off really dismissive and as if I was irritating her by being there. Why be a person who is in the field of caring for people when you have such a cold demeanor. I do not recommend scheduling with her. I would give zero stars if possible

I went for an annual physical exam with Dr. Meka, I am non verbal. My temp was not taken and my body was not touched. Dr. Meka stated she had no concerns and sent me on my way. The following morning I ended up hospitalized for an aggressive blood infection. Do not go to her, she does not care.

I have to agree with the other reviews, she is completely uninterested and dismissive. I saw her for an AM appointment that was completely useless. Unhappy with the way that I was treated, I rescheduled for a different doctor in the afternoon. That doctor listened to all my concerns, ordered blood work as a starting point and scheduled a follow-up so we can get to the bottom of what is troubling me.

I scheduled an appointment with a specific request, a CGM, and full panel blood work per my nutritionist. When seeing Dr. Meka, it was as if she had no clue why I was there and asked me 'what are we doing today'. I guess she doesn't read charts beforehand? My nutritionist requested a CGM and blood work to help with monitoring metabolic health, get a baseline of how I'm doing from last year I had blood work based on the lifestyle/diet changes I've made. She also wanted to do a deep dive into what foods might be impacting my blood sugar (diabetes runs in my family, blood work has shown that I'm in the pre stages of pre-diabetes, and I'm high risk as a black woman). Dr. Meka said no to the CGM and, no to doing the full blood work (only opting for part of the request because she requested the same blood work almost a year ago). She also talked down to me like I didn't know a thing about health and wellness, and gave the most basic, unhelpful reasoning for her 'no'.

Dismissive of my concerns and condescending. There was a scheduling mistake made by one of the receptionists for a different day with a different doctor, and she had blamed me for it. I also over heard her and her nurse talking badly about me from behind the door after she walked out. Very unprofessional, I was appalled by how I was treated.

Her consideration and knowledge of her patients is outstanding. She makes you comfortable and updates you on your medicals.

Disrespectful, Dismissive, No bedside manner, condescending, misdiagnosis warrior, know it all awful awful person.

I was absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received by this doctor. My dogs veterinarian is more concerned about my dog than Dr Meka was about me. I don't need much but I would like a doctor who is interested in helping people. From other reviews I see that she is consistently awful. I have been told by several doctors that my pain tolerance is abnormally high. It takes a significant amount of pain for me to go see a Dr. The pain is serious and in my head, which is something I've been urged to take seriously by people w medical backgrounds. If she would have ask me a few questions I could have explained my other symptoms but she was so brilliant she figured out my diagnosis w/o even talking to me! (SARCASM). Thanks doc, now I have lose another day of work and make another appointment! To top it off I asked for blood work to rule out an infection and got the results back for a Hepatitis C test! What?! Incompetent is the nicest world I can use!

Worst experience with a doctor ever. Rushed in-and-out. Did not listen to my concerns, nor treat them at all. Terrible experience, terrible doctor.

All the above reviews are correct! She was very dismissive and rude. I informed her of this and she apologized but the next visit was no better. Switching doctors.

Dr. Meka… not only were you rude and dismissive of my pain and concerns about my health but you were so arrogant. A medical professional should be caring and think of one’s patients as if they were a part of one’s own family. You Dr. Meka do none of those things. I was so upset with our visit I had to go to another doctor who did in fact find the issue. As a women of faith… I hope you have a better doctor then you are to your patients!

My son aged out of pediatrics and unfortunately we chose dr. Meeka . He has been with crystal run since he was little and has been on ta particular dosage for five years. It suits him and serves him well. Do. Meeka wanted us to jump through hoops- something he doesn’t have time for… going to a neurologist for a full work up etc.. I argued the point snd every single month she screwed up the medication. So I call for a patient advocate, who review the notes and when she read the notes to me, meeka had written that the patient requested a MEDICATION INCREASE. I was furious. That was never true. The patient advocate said she’d look into it and get back to me. She did not. I called her. Her explanation: I must have mis-spoken . How do you mis-speak when you are reading the notes???

Runs an inefficient office, does not return calls, consistently interrupts not allowing one to finish one sentence after the next, talks down at one with outstanding arrogance and in an offensive manner, and then has the unmitigated gall to ask you if you're listening to her!!!!! Horrible experience.

I found a lump on my torso and I had not been feeling well. My regular Dr. was booked. Dr. Rajan Meka was available the next day. Dr. Meka felt the lump, asked if I'm eating and going to the bathroom, then told me to watch the growth and come back if I was in pain. I was taken back. She didn't ask my eating habit, she didn't ask about family history, she didn't ask how I had been feeling. I asked her how can we check if its' benign? She said with a CT but its too small it's not worth radiation. Later, I called Dr. Meka and left a message for her to return my call, When she did she seemed bothered and very curt. She told me I'm not going to write a CT for you but you can get a second opinion. I wish I would have read her grades prior to coming in as they were spot on.

Bad tele health experience

Dr. Meka is petty, unprofessional & condescending She is utterly disinterested in your health complaints & either lacks appropriate knowledge or is simply negligent. She does not return your calls nor answer your emails directly. She has her nursing staff respond to questions that should be answered by a MD without conferring with her 1st. I reported diarrhea x 3 weeks and she told me to keep a food journal & come back in 2 weeks. A different provider told me to take probiotics which worked.

Quick to judge and misdiagnose. Wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

I saw at Crystal Run in Monroe and she was very friendly and nice.
