Good doc but prepare for a long wait.
Very good surgeon and personable physician. However I waited an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time before being seen. Can’t get that time of my life back so understandably I’m frustrated. If I needed to see an orthopedic specialist again I would go elsewhere; doc is good but not enough to waste another hour and a half of my time.

Telehealth
I had excellent care with Dr Lamour after my doctor at the clinic retired. I requested to have a surgery as soon as possible and I got in quickly. He was great to answer all my questions. On day two I am now pain free from my torn meniscus. The staff was very helpful. Thank you for my wonderful care

Timely response to femoral fracture of the right
After an Anchorage fall and lack of care, an appointment back in Olympia with Dr. Lamour was able to operate on my leg the very evening after reviewing X-rays. He was also very good at explaining the situation and sharing the X-rays with me. My leg seems to be doing well.

Superb care
Dr. Lamour was caring, kind and professional. He did not rush to surgery, but was concientous in using every conservative treatment possible. Surgery, in the end, was done and healed well. Dr. Lamour has done two procedures for me, and both were successful.

Medically cleared me while still injured.
He is good at cutting not so good at people. After two surgeries he cleared me even though I was in a lot of pain and wasn't very mobile. Forced me to do PT even though I was in pain and needed help walking.Went and got a second opinion from a new doctor and needed a third surgery. Dr. Lamour completely missed my shredded atfl and the new doctor figured it out in less than 10 minutes.Due to the forced PT there is permanent joint damage.Fight for yourself with this doctor.

The Best of the Best
There is a difference between an orthopedic surgeon and a podiatrist surgeon. My previous doctor from Puget Sound Orthopedics wanted to do a radical surgery to correct his previous surgery from a year ago. I sought a 2nd opinion w Dr. Lamour and a 3rd at urging of Dr. #1. After multiple surgeries by previous Dr. my foot finally feels fixed and I am only 4 weeks post op. His conservative approach was spot on. Do not let a podiatrist perform your surgery especially when they own a financial stake in the practice and the surgery center. Do your homework and trust your instincts. I am glad I finally did rather than stay loyal to a sub-par doctor. I will never see anyone other than Dr. Lamour for foot or ankle needs and hopefully will not need to.

Rushed and lack of care
Sat in room over an hour for Dr Lamour. Dr came in for 5mn did not look at injury, did not touch, did not go over how ligaments and fx was healing. I advised I was still having continuous pain at night 6 months later. Dr Lamour just said 6 more weeks of physical therapy before looking to see if there was a report already from PT. Highly disappointed in the level of care, concern and lack of explanation. Felt very rushed.

Dr Lamour: an exceptional doctor in his field
Dr. Lamour had me get a type of x-ray that I had never experienced before. Since I shredded a tendon before on my right foot—I welcomed this type of diagnostic tool.

Doesn't Believe His Patients
Dr. Lamour comes off as haughty and rude. He doesn't listen to his patients and treats them like the dirt under his nail. Little in the way of treatment options and when an injury doesn't fit into the norm he treats you like you're a liar.
