Nearly 20 years of top notch care
Ive been with Lee Ching since 2006 and we've never had any complaints. He correctly diagnosed my father's illness just prior to him passing while other ER doctors were treating him incorrectly. Unfortunately by the time they found out, it was too late. Since that day, I transferred my entire family to Lee Ching and it has been great ever since.

Awesome Doctor and Staff!
My wife and I have been patients of Dr Lee-Ching for around 15 yrs! He’s a great doctor and the staff are really amazing and friendly! If you are respectful to them they are always respectful to you! Everyone at this office work hard and are very loving! It’s a shame that he will retire someday in the future! We’ll never find a better Doctor and staff than this!

Avoid
The doctor and the staff have really dropped the ball. They do the bare minimum. IF it's hard, they won't do it. Prior authorization requests are never submitted. They don't care about the patients. They are operating as if it's the late 90's in tech. Their portal is a joke, no email only fax communications. Also they don't care if the patients have allergies to the cleaning products they use.

I haven't been sick or needed to go to a doctor (Lee-Ching) since 2018, but now I am and do. I just called to get an appointment only to be told by a quite unpleasant staff person that they dropped me as a patient when they changed computer systems because I haven't been there in a "long time" and that they therefore view me as a "new patient". And they aren't accepting new patients. So now I have no primary care doctor at all.

Dr. Lee-Ching was inattentive. His actions made us feel like we were bothering him. He barely looked at our file and actually laughed at some of our questions regarding my Papa's health. His nurse was not helpful and spoke condescendingly toward us. The receptionist was the only positive part of our experience. I would give him zero stars, if it was an option.

I have been with Dr Lee-Ching since he began his practice over 35 years ago in Hilo. I was initially drawn to him because of his and my ethnicity. Nevertheless, he and awesome well respected doctor who has saved me and the lives of my family members many times over. His professionalism and keen insights make him the best Doctor that we’ve ever go to for any medical condition. We have 100% trust in him, his experience, his advice. He is warm and inviting to everyone that we’ve known over these many years. It will be an insurmountable challenge to find anyone to replace him especially now since it’s closing in on what we fear most, his retirement. What do we do then!

One of Hilo's best doctors. I have been with Dr. Lee-Ching for over 20 years and he is one of the best doctors I ever met. Although the doctor does not talk much he always does the right thing and is very sensitive to the patient needs. I remember bringing my 12 year old daughter to see him and in a matter of minutes he figured out the problem and my daughter was a happy camper again. You will find true Hawaiian spirit a the doctors office.
