I noted a recurrence of an inguinal hernia repaired in 1996 - after contacting Dr Pettit's office, I had an appointment in less than 10days (my choice - it might have been sooner), an evaluation and plans for preop labs and surgery. Very personable doctor and staff.

Dr. Petit is my absolute favorite surgeon. Back in 2015 when I had a cyst on my side. He suggested I have it exercised and I appreciate that. He has awesome bedside manners and he’s very knowledgeable. I was upset last year when I had to have a cyst removed i went thru hell because he didn’t accept my insurance. But now he does and he’s the only I will ever go to if I can.

I had tried to book with other offices for two years . One office told me it would be two months for an appointment. I called and was booked the next day. I showed up had called in my pre-approval, but it had not arrived. The office front line person called in and voila it was there. Dr came in shook my hand and instantly I knew I was in good hands his rapport knowledge and confidence gave me complete trust. My initial visit was very impressive. Reception/registration was efficient and friendly. Appointment was on time. Doctor and nurse were friendly, informative, comfortable. Very positive experience over all.

Dr. Pettit and his associate were very thorough and gave me the answers to questions I needed re: my gallstones and gallbladder problem, which was news that I didn't know might be a problem. If and when I need to have the gallbladder removed, he will be the surgeon I contact and, he was highly recommended by my MD.

I am very disappointed in the scheduling for surgery. I had an ultrasound as requested by the dr. Then a week later I called the office to see when I might have surgery. Then a week later I heard nothing so I called On the 27th or the 28th. Again heard nothing. Called this week 1/2 ,1/3, and today 1/4. Finally got. Call back and was told the scheduler had been out for 2 weeks so I understand that Kara was double tasking but I can not believe no one has been scheduled Help

Dr. Pettit is an amazing doctor and can not thank him enough for all he did for me. He listens, explains what he is going to do and just makes you feel comfortable and you do not feel rushed.. He is the best!

Only spoke with Dr Pettit once but his staff was absolutely outstanding. They answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. Surgery went perfectly and I was back to my old ways in pretty short order. Great performance by all concerned,. Thanks

I had Mohs surgery in June to remove squamous cell c that did not get it all. I was facing another Mohs plus topical chemo. I saw Dr. Pettit about a different matter and asked him to look at my leg, where the prior surgery had been, as I was very apprehensive about the prospects. Dr. Pettit carefully inspected my leg and said he thought the second surgery shouldn't be done in an office. We scheduled my surgery and he got it all. I never doubted that would be the case. Thank you Dr. Pettit!

Dr. Pettit was friendly and listened to my problems. He was very informative and recognized that I had a hernia, in addition to gall bladder problems, which I had come to correct. I would highly recommend him and Richmond surgical.

I did not get a warm feeling from this doctor at all.His staff made me feel like I did something wrong when the doctor missed my first appointment and never informed me until I arrived.So I go in the next day and I get an attitude from his staff and the doctor took calls while checking me out.This guy is a great surgeon I'm sure but he's a real jerk as a person.
