Performed an excellent knee replacement. Recovery was ahead of schedule and very manageable. Dr. communicates well and had the flexibility with medications and other things to allow me to do this alone ( I was locked 1500 miles from home by the pandemic). He listens pretty well. Like most doctors he has an information agenda, moves through that quickly and then wants to terminate the visit. But, bend his ear a bit, he'll listen (not just hear) if you're giving him essential information. Only complaint is that the operation precipitated a painful unrelated skeletal issue and he did not move to address that until the full 12 weeks of knee recovery was over. Could have looked at the issue 4 or 5 weeks earlier and saved me a LOT.... a WHOLE LOT of pain. But he still gets 5 stars.

I recently had a fairly bad displacement fracture of my left wrist. He took me in right away and talked to me like a very normal guy. He wasn't like your typical arrogant doctors. Just a really nice down to earth guy. He explained everything very thoroughly. The surgery was the next day and I was out the the door and on my way home hours later. My recovery was great and painless (no pain meds). He is always there to answer any questions. I look forward to seeing him each appointment. He has a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know!! Randy-2019

Dr Smith is a very pleasant, caring doctor. He also has a smoke on his face and he is always willing to listen to what you have to say and then he gives you hood opinion. I would highly recommend him for any orthopedic issues you may have.

Dr. Smith is an excellent Dr. However, if you've been in an auto accident, he will not take any motor vehicle insurance. This is dumbfounding since I've been his patient for quite some time but he won't see me from the result of a recent motor vehicle accident. I guess the pain of dealing with insurance companies is more important to him than his patients health. Very disappointed in his policy. Time to see another orthopedic.
