Dr. Richard Woodworth, MD

I fully recovered within 6 months after my ACL, MCL, and Meniscus tear in 2013. My recovery was excellent and my scars from the incision sites are minimal. My surgery was 12 years ago in April 2013. The reconstructive surgery involved an allograft due to my age and healing goals from the multiple tears. I was ambulatory with a brace within 1-2 weeks. Dr. Woodworth was always professional and attentive during my appointments. This month marks the anniversary of a successful surgical experience that is not over shadowed by the traumatic attack I experienced on 3-17-13.

Dr Woodworth is the best! Highly recommend Dr Woodworth. I recently had a shoulder replacement with zero complications. Dr Woodworth explained in detail every step prior and after surgery.

Like too many doctors, Dr. Woodworth seems to take on way too many patients. Waited almost 2 hours after my scheduled appointment time to see the doctor with no warning or alert of the delay. Did not feel valued as a person by the office or the doctor. Dr. Woodworth gave treatment options but did not offer his suggestion as to course of care. Very disappointed in the entire experience at Desert Orthopedics and with Dr. Woodworth. I will be seeking any further treatment from another provider at another doctor group.

I called your office on Saturday and left a message. It's Tuesday and I have still not heard so I am now going to Dr. Tait. You performed two surgeries on me and they turned out great, but not having someone call back is indefensible. And if your staff is too busy to answer the phone, they hire more people!

He took plenty of time explaining problem. It was an emergency so I saw him in the hospital.

My wife and I both used Dr. Woodworth; my wife for her knee and for myself he worked with me on pain in my leg and hip. My wife had surgery on her knee and that went well; the pain in my left leg was diagnosed and I went to physical therapy for six weeks. The surgery for my wife went extremely well and the pain in my leg was correctly diagnosed. Dr. Woodworth is a very pleasant person to have as a doctor; he is a very calm person and has a sense of humor; which helps relieve the uncertainty of the situation. The office staff was very pleasant and wanted to make sure everything was okay for scheduling.

Dr Woodworth is a kind adequate surgeon. I recently had a very painful shoulder joint replacement. His entire staff is cold, unprofessional & inept!! Staff ignored my post-op pain & are unable to submit prescriptions correctly to insurance!! I went Two Weekends without pain medication because staff couldn't correctly submit prescriptions!! Dr Woodworth needs to replace his entire staff before they ruin his practice!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Woodworth's since moving to Las Vegas 13 years ago. It was quite comforting to me to find an orthopaedic surgeon who met all the qualifications I was looking for...Dr. Woodworth is courteous, friendly, and his decisions about all my conditions were spot on! I still go to him (with a new condition). If you LISTEN to what your physician explains to you and FOLLOW what he/she says, you will be better off! His staff is excellent as well~

Dr. Woodworth is an amazing physician! I have been an RN for 40 years, so I am an expert when it comes to judging physician quality. He is very polite and caring. Dr. Woodworth explained my condition and surgery in great detail and is very patient, answering all my questions so I could understand in order to make an informed decision. I never felt hurried. When selecting a surgeon, he should be your first choice.

Had to see Dr. Woodworth for a labrum tear. His staff is well trained and very organized, and I had no problem getting an appointment. Bedside manner was excellent, Dr. Woodworth took time to explain exactly what my procedure would be like.
