I definitely would not recommend Dr. Barbarite.
I returned for a follow up appointment. Dr. Barbarite entered the room, didn't say hello how are you, asked a few questions and left. I sat in the room wondering what was next. He NEVER returned. Finally an assistant came and said that I could go. I said that I had questions and wanted to speak to Dr. Barbarite. He was already with another patient and refused to see me. TOTAL LACK of CARE for me. I switched doctors after this frustrating experience.

After 25 years I'm stayin with the very best team
Clean comfortable and not backed up (uncrowned). Lady at front desk been there since before I had first appt, over 25 years ago. She is very kind and diligent in the check in process. All staff pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. Dr Mary is a saint. She reads all past records, listens to current situations, talks about resolving challenges and prescribes meds that address conditions. I am grateful Dr. Mary explains how they work as well as why they do not result in tolerance. I am 90% better. I know she will help me to 100%. Mary sends referrals immediately and knows which doctors will best meet my needs. Dr Robert is just as wonderful in all those areas. So grateful to be with them. TYPE OF CARE: Asthma (now cured), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) (cured after referral to GI Specialist and upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy performed and esophagus expanded during procedure, difficulty breathing during exercise (all-gone) and blood work-full testing across the spectrum to identify ar

Going to another provider - rude staff
What a shame that the booking staff is so incredibly rude. Dr Barbarite, Mary, and the nurses are awesome, but the women who answer the phones are among the rudest people, particularly Charlene. My suggestion is to get your information straight before jumping down a patient's throat. Communication that was stated to have come from the office did not occur, but try to explain that to Charlene, and she strikes a nasty tone and slams the phone down on you like a child. Kudos to the pleasant young lady who called to verify my insurance information, a true professional who was kind and friendly. All is good on my end, I will be switching doctors to eliminate any future interaction with this extremely unprofessional individual as this isn't my first unpleasant interaction with the scheduling team. It seems I should have paid more attention to the reviews... A tip...it's not what you say but how you say it.

After 20 years, its not worth it anymore
I have been a patient of Dr Barbarite’s for 20 years. Ever since his practice was incorporated into a bigger practice, it has become impossible to so much as get a prescription refilled, or refilled right. The clerical staff is rude and lies. I stood at CVS when they called the doctor’s office to renew my prescription. 3 days in a row I did this. On the fourth day I called Dr Barbarite’s office and the lady (as usual) was so rude and lied saying that CVS never called. By that point I had been without my medication for two weeks! Dr. Barbarite and his wife are GREAT people. But it is simply not worth being a patient of his practice anymore when you have to bend over backwards to try to get your medications refilled.

Sad and Disappointing Ending
Dr. Barbarite and his wife Mary did very well for my wife and I for almost 20 years. Then there was a business decision made to sell/partner with Palm Medical. We did not fit into their new business model, so we were kicked to the curb and not even allowed by the office manager to speak with them. She said and I quote "There are too many upset patients and that's what they pay me for to handle them. Yes, we are losing patients but gaining more through our new partnership. Do not take it personal. It is a business decision." How can we not take this personal when our healthcare is a personal decision! Neither Dr. Barbarite nor Mary has called us back. This is very sad and disappointing that they built a practice for patients and now they partnered or sold to a company Palm Medical that builds a business model for investors, so beware you are now collateral in their business model. Visit their website to see their suite of services that they will "guide you to."

Useless
After years of going to this office, I’ve never ever met the doctor. Front desk is distracted and not very helpful. Long wait times, and god forbid you actually needed a quick appointment for a real issue.

most rude, nasty, vile front desk person in common place business. Talks to patients like they are worthless. Zero respect. I would NEVER go to this office again and advise the same to everyone. I will be reporting this office to the medical board immedietly.

Dr B is very compassionate, caring and professional. I have been a patient if his practice for 18 years and have been treated very well. I’m looking at options for treating prostate cancer and he could not have been more generous with his time and insightful recommendations.

Dr. Barbarite used to be a decent doctor. He wastes a lot of time giving the exact same speech about drinking enough water and not taking risks such as climbing ladders. He ALWAYS leaves the room without asking if you have any more questions or summarizing which actions he will be taking (prescriptions, tests, etc...). Lately, He has written prescriptions incorrectly for me. I’ve had to drive 40 minutes back to the office to return the original prescription and wait to see him (and pay a co-pay) to have a new prescription. He’s definitely been slipping up more lately, perhaps from age or handling a practice that is too busy. Whenever I need a refill, I have to start days in advance and plan to spend hours of my time calling his staff to get them to refill my prescriptions on time. They say they will call back to confirm but rarely do. I know a couple of people who don’t have good Medicare supplements who go there, he refused to give them referrals to specialists when needed

I go to see Dr. Barbarite every year for my yearly physical. The appointment needs to be made way in advance but it’s worth it because Doc is so skilled, caring, and kind. I feel that I can say everything on my mind to him and he’ll listen. I’m rarely I’ll, but occasionally I need an appointment immediately even as a walk in and since all of the NP’s are good, especially Pam, I’ll see anyone. And too, the staff is terrific too.

I see either Pam or Dr Barbarite who I very much trust. They are professional and very talented, never too busy to answer my questions or recommend treatment for my conditions. I always request Pam as she is so caring and really wants to solve whatever I experience.

Although the wait can be longer than it should be, and one or two of the staff could be friendlier than they are, overall, the doctor listens, is thorough, and clearly caring--even if you have to call him on the weekend. Geri, a nurse practitioner, who has done my physicals for years, is the best. Listens well, knowledgeable, and into the whole person and her health. She's one of the best medical professionals I've seen. Thanks!
