Professional and personable
Dr. Jacobsen has been my primary care physician for several years since moving here. He is knowledgeable, easy to talk to and is responsive to questions and concerns. I have been very happy to have him for my doctor. His staff assistants have been equally professional and caring.

NEGLECTFUL AND INCOMPETENT
In Dec 2020 I came to him with a concern over pelvic pain, and he diagnosed me as having "Myrtle schmurtz" (cramping that happens before menstruation), when I told him it was different from cramping and that because of how painful+constant it was I wanted an ultrasound or at least to see a GYN he told me "there's no need, you're not 21 yet" and that it "wasn't necessary". Now circling back to my current PCP, when I shared with her some new issues happening with the same thing she IMMEDIATELY treated me with respect and dignity and GOT ME AN ULTRASOUND, and from there I have since found out that I probably *needed* to be taken seriously when I was under the care of Dr. Jacobsen as it was two years ago. I believe the progression of my pain and the increase of my condition is the fault of him, as it could have been detected much earlier. He is a neglectful doctor, he is an incompetent health care provider.

Dr Jacobsen has been my PCP for more than 15 years. Can’t say enough to praise his care! He gives clear explanations, kind & personable advice & instructions, and has called personally to provide follow-up or get more info from me. His expertise & care have saved my life on two occasions. Never had a doctor I trust as much!

Would give 10 stars. He has been my doc for last 7 years. I’m a doctor too and I chose him when i first moved here because of high regard his colleagues have for him. He is up to date on best practices for treating hypertension, high lipids, common conditions and more unusual ones. He has a great “bedside manner” and speaks without doctor jargon. I have been impressed with his knowledge as well as his practical approach to finding a diagnosis.

I am watching my dad die from stage 4 lung cancer because of this doctor. TWO YEARS my father went in with chest symptoms. He was even coughing up blood (parents never told me that part). He just pulled out prescription pad and wrote for antibiotics. Was surprised when wanted a second opinion. He never even got a chest ×-ray, which was first thing new doctor did!!!!!!!!!! It was too late. Don't see this doctor!!!!!
