Front office
Could not be seen. They demanded I pay a bill from 8 years ago for which I received the bill 3 years ago and requested but never received a detailed billing statement. After 7 years bills go away. They also said I had a bill from 2022 for 8 dollars but I never received the bill. Lady at the front desk was extremely rude. I requested fearless billing statements and she told me she could not help. Left a written request but have yet to receive detailed billing statements.

Went in for an appointment to renew medication. The appointment went normally at first but when I went to leave I was told a breast exam was included in the visit. I had been on the medication for 7 years and it had nothing to do with my breasts. I had not complained about any symptoms in them either. Maybe he was really concerned about the possibility of cancer. I still decided to switch doctors after that. It just didn't feel right.

My visits to Dr. Kistler's office have always been pleasurable, educational, and non-confrontational with his office staff. I have enjoyed my years under his medical care and have no desire to search for another PCP. I have read some reviews here complaining that Dr. K will not proscribe their desired non-FDA approved drugs - and they might have a favorite that perhaps has been used (often successfully) for 100s (or even 1000s) of years, yet the FDA does not "approve" it. It is accurate and correct to be reminded that God, in creating a "perfect" world, left that world with all the products man would need for their healing growing in the ground or in the waters surrounding the land. Most trained MDs are essentially taught to only prescribe drugs approved by the FEDERAL DRUG ADMINISTRATION. But many of our illnesses now, some human caused and propagated, require more complex formulas than what grows in the land or the sea. Be patient, present your desires, and talk with Dr. Kistler.

I have been going to Dr. Kistler's office for about 6 years. The first two times I went to the office I saw Dr. Kistler after that I was assigned to a Physicians Assistant. Every time I went, I was given a hard sell for medication that I wasn't convinced I needed. When I questioned the PA about alternative treatments, he responded disrespectfully as if I didn't have the right to question his judgement. It got to the point where I hated going to the doctor and put off regular visits in order to avoid the awkward exchange. Now they have finally refused to continue to re-fill the prescription of my allergy and asthma medicine...so I will be switching to a doctor that will honor my wishes and work with me to stay off of unnecessary prescriptions.

VERY difficult front-office staff (Kim) makes dealing with them impossible. Goes out of her way to create problems, hassles patients on the phone, doesn't follow through with commitments. Doctor seems very busy (runs a side-business next door, a little Urgent Clinic) that takes him away. Always rushed and misses things.
