It was my good fortune to have Dr. Halbrooks cover for my regular PCP on Friday, April 17. Dr. Halbrooks reviewed results of my most recent tests & sent me straight to Duke Hospital for additional tests that he ordered. Had he not done that I would not have been alive on Monday. Dr. Halbrooks was professional and business-like in his interactions with me; but I could feel his concern for me. Furthermore, he continued to follow my stay at Duke Hospital & called to ask how I was doing. I feel that Dr. Halbrooks literally saved my life; and I would recommend him without reservation.

This doctor is a poor communicator. My experience has been - if you don’t know questions to ask, you will not find out about details of your condition, what test implications may be, if there is any plan as to how to address problems, etc.
