Lacks empathy
Dr. Kotiah initially seemed thoughtful, although a little aloof. When my loved one wanted to stop the prescribed pills, work with a naturopath and still work with Dr. Kotiah and her team, she seemed to become slightly annoyed and told my family member that she would either die from her disease or die from the meds and that was her choice. When my loved one exclaimed “wow” in disbelief of the doctor’s comment, Dr. Kotiah doubled down and repeated it. Dr. Kotiah also tried to discount any progress my loved one had made during treatment by misrepresenting the lab work results. My family member was shaken up and in tears by the time they got to their car on the parking lot. Dr. Kotiah seems to know her field well, but trying to humiliate a patient is just wrong. I definitely feel ego was involved. We will not recommend her to anyone unless they enjoy a doctor who doesn’t feel the need to edit their negative comments.

Amazing doctor!
Dr Kotiah is an amazing, caring and very knowledgeable. I am so very grateful that she is my dr. She truly cares and I always feel that she is focused on me when I see her. I always have my list of questions, and she takes her time. She also has a great sense of humor, which works well for me! I’m a retired nurse of 40 years, feel extremely lucky to have her as my doctor!

Thank you
We met Dr. Kotiah too late. But she provided more concern and help in 40 min than the last 14 months of this painful colon cancer journey. Although we were hoping for a different recommendation , Hospice was hers for my mother. The last 2 weeks with hospice has provided my mom tremendous pain relief and comfort. If only we had started with Kotiah earlier, my mom would have been spared the pain, confusion, false hope and abandonment we experienced with her other oncologist.

I highly recommend Dr Kotiah !! She actually listens to you—which you can’t really say that about many physicians for sure! Many years I was dismissed and felt unheard by other physicians, but after today’s visit, I am so relieved to have someone on my side, actually listening. Also to add she is very thorough and knowledgeable—took the time to explain everything and explain the plan. I cannot tell you enough how thankful I am to have found Dr Kotiah !!

Misleading liar. Doesn't listen to patient needs, requests or directives. Made dicisions that resulted in hospital stays and reduced quality of life and shortening of life. Hides behind the science and her notepad. Generally uninvolved in day to day struggles. When asked point blank questions offers hollow answers that secure and maintain her status but speak nothing to the reality of the situation offering no progress against disease. Basically, she just didn't care.

Dr Kotiah not only saved our daughter once but then actually saved her a second time after she developed a life threatening condition which warranted immediate hospitalization. It was Dr Kotiah's keen instinct and expertise which prevented longterm organ damage from occurring. We are forever grateful!!

Dr. Kotiah has excellent Patient skills. She explains everything to me in "layman terms". She stays up to date on all my medical records with all my doctors. She's friendly but thorough when she exams me and I always feel comfortable around her. She takes her time answering all my questions. I always feel better after I leave her office knowing if I have any problems or questions she will get back to me right away.

Dr Kotiah is AMAZING. Thorough knowledge of her field and so fun and friendly which is Important when going through tough medical challenges. She just makes you feel better by being in her company. She doesn't talk down to you but explains everything in terms anyone could understand. I've received calls at home from her following up on test results etc. How many Doctors do that??? She's both caring and conscientious in delivering excellent care to her patients.
