I have to ask for what she thought of the X-rays taken as I have no heard from her and think that she haven’t looked at them yet, she just assumed and said they were okay, then she left and said, let me have another look, then she gave a better answer, is like always I have to ask the questions instead she providing or giving me a explanation, like she wants in and out right away

As a preamble, I want to state that it’s possible this doctor is the best at what they do and I’m just a freak patient that got horribly unlucky with their results.CONDENSED VERSION:I was a patient in April 2023 who went in for a routine vasectomy. My outcome and experience as a patient was:1. I have been in life altering pain since the surgery2. Dr. Spettel seemed cold and uncaring towards me and the pain and trauma I expressed3. Dr. Spettel and their office staff treated me as if I was a drug seeker and someone attempting to claim disability because of the outcome of my surgery

She acted as if she didn't care a bit about my problem. Wasn't helpful.

The staff is very courteous & I was in & out in a very timely manner

CT scan in Aug showed a 9mm stone. Spettel removed it in September. Just had another enhanced CT to check out something else and the stone she supposedly 'removed' is now 10mm. So it was never touched during the ureteroscopy. I am not sure what was removed. I went through a lot of pain, and missed work to get the stone removed and it is still there! The medical system never returns money when they fail you. The only thing I can do is leave a poor rating to show disapproval for an incomplete job done. Will not be using her again

Basically tells you what to do and that's it. Seems somewhat annoyed by questions and gives a short answer or wave of the hand. Not sure about competence. Her staff (she never responds) doesn't respond to questions (phone or portal) in a timely manner or at all. Test results are not posted until I repeatedly ask. My primary care doctor is not kept informed. If I ask enough they sometimes send results over.

Very knowledgeable, down to earth, made me feel like we were making decisions together about my health.

She had reviewed my medical history, explained her assessments, listened to and addressed my concerns and clearly explained the procedure she recommended moving forward All was done very professionally, efficiently, and in a very pleasant manner

I liked her very much and she absolutely understood my problems !

Dr. Spettle is a good doctor she is straight forward and to the point and does.not sugar coat what the problem is. Which I love that about doctors. She carea about your well being and how you are. Amazing doctor

Sara is quick and to the point

Dr. Spettel is good, just not a hand holder. The good news is she clearly knows what she's doing, gets right to the point, is ready to educate you with her spiel about your problem, and will answer all your questions afterwards. Just be forewarned that she doesn't need your backstory and she thinks and moves pretty fast so you gotta keep up. There is bad news, though, and it's about clinic response time - answering phones is not a priority, nor is contacting you to schedule procedures. Once you have portal access messaging is the best/only way to get answer back. Literally was told by hospital nurses to call after hours to speak to on-call doctor vs expect reception to answer. Also, there's way too little after-care written instruction provided; I had to resort to googling other urologist clinics' information on what to expect post-procedure, or complications. My hope is NW Urology sees this post and addresses all of that, it is so important to be accessible, and provide info!
