Threats and yelling-Irvine did to me
I had been going to IPA in Temple for a couple of years mainly for medication and injections for trigger points. Then Karisha started threatening to not refill my meds. I have chronic pain and it stays with me. Finally, Irvine staged a scenario with a pit bull coming through the waiting area to scare me and my small dog. I guess everyone else was in on it, including the other patients and staff. When my husband, dog and I got to the exam room, Irvine started yelling and said I was discharged. He didn’t say why. Later I got a letter saying it was because we had irreconcilable differences. Don’t go there under any circumstances. You will regret it.

Dr. Irvine - my hero. My first visit with Dr. Irvine was in 2013. I had seen all the pain providers in the area with minimal results. Dr. Irvine listen to my concerns, conducted his evaluation, and established a plan to help reduce the pain I was experiencing. Pain is not black or white - sometimes it can be eliminated; other times it can be reduced through medication; and/or surgical intervention. My pain has been significantly reduced to a point where I can enjoy life. If you have back pain I recommend you contact Dr. Irvine for an appointment.

The first few visits were exceptionsl; I was very impressed. I soon discovered that patients are held hostage by threts of cutting off all services ie,, pain meds. Physical is offered but never become a reality; if the patients do not let the doctor perform aRadioAblutions test. I looked up the procedure, and, the use of lidocaine to numb the skin around the site is omitted; the procedure is extremely painful without sedation (which was also omitted; and the xray machine to guide the needle through the nerves, was not seen during the first injection; Like I said,if you do not go through with the multiple injection, you will be dropped as a patient...which also means no more scripts for pain meds. Last but not least....The doctor can get really angry if the patient does something he does not agree with; others who asked to be noted.

This doctor gave me the worst experience in my life. He basically told me I was faking my pain and accused me of seeking drugs because I had no insurance. I am disabled and can't get Medicaid for two years. He said the only think he can do is injections or a surgical implant and that if I don't have 30 grand I'm wasting his time. He has no empathy and has no business being in the medical field with such a horrible bedside manner. All he cares about is money. Unbelievable!
