DONOT! use Johnston Pain Management. The Staff is useless, they don't answer the phone, they don't reply to emails, they don't reply to their own web communicator. Johnston is never punctual or even close to it. I have never been seen anywhere near my scheduled appointment time, it has always been at least an hour after or more. Once seen and you question Johnston about the issues you experience with his office he becomes defensive, angry and argumentative. His prescriptions are always submitted incorrectly or to the wrong pharmacy delaying or being rejected totally for your medication. Johnston's attitude is self absorbed, arrogant, self centered and unsympathetic to his patients for their ailments and their time. After months of trying to work with them and giving them the benefit of the doubt, my frustration and stress level became unacceptable and I realized patients should not have to go through this and we have other highly qualified, professionals.

Dr. Johnston always shows a sincere concern for his patients and does everything in his power to help them get relief from the problems they face. I've been seeing Dr. Johnston and Dr. Holder for almost two years now and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else, and I deal with the pain and frequent stops of having to drive from 2 hours away to get to him! He introduced me to Onslow Memorial and I won't go anywhere else now. I'll choose Onslow over Wake Med any day!

Show's a sincere interest in your issues and problems, since being diagnosed with Herniated Discs at L3/L4 the injections that I have received have made a big difference in my quality of life.

All this doctor cares about is money. Cancelled medicare patients while having contract with medicare sent letters with no warning stating he would no longer see patients on medicare then later responded his letter with a new letter reinstating his medicare patients. He he also pushy with doing procedures giving the patient little time to see if devices are best for the patient.
