Dr. Seth Kivnick, MD

Dr Kivnick was the physician for all of my 5 children. He was excellent. He pays amazing attention to detail. He has a dry sense of humor which made our visits most enjoyable! I thank God for his gift of medicine.

Dr. Kivnick saw me during my first trimester of pregnancy. His bedside manner is highly efficient - very pointed, direct, and fact-based. If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy experience, he may not be a great fit for you. He suited me and my preferred approach to care and I was confident in his knowledge, which ultimately is my top priority. He helped me through the loss of my first trimester pregnancy. He did not hesitate to perform additional ultrasounds when my condition was changing. He was quick to schedule me in. I wouldn't hesitate to see Dr. Kivnick again for my next pregnancy.

Lousy bedside manners: rude, does not hear the patient, condescending attitude, does not practice preventive medicine, a double-standard md

Dr Kivnick is by far the BEST surgeon & Dr ANYWHERE! Traveled 2 states away for a myomectomy on a gigantic fibroid that no Dr in my state would even talk myomectomy w/me about. Have several health issues, injuries, & concerns from a prior surgery & other Drs. He worked w/ me regarding every concern I had. As a result, I came away w/ ZERO complications, injuries, or further traumas. He & Dr Scott Lentz performed a perfect open myomectomy in about 1/2 the time of the previous surgery that removed a small piece of same fibroid. His tenderness, kindness, care, concern, & compassion go beyond any Dr I've ever worked w/; which are many. He was there for me going out & coming to from surgery. His knowledge, skills, gifts, abilities, & HUMILITY, surpass that of any Drs I've seen. He has a great sense of humor; is confident, patient, honest, upfront, & wants the best possible outcomes for his patients! His nurses are amazing! Had surgery PM was able to go home following AM w/ only OTC pain meds. Blessings on him & his family. W/ much gratitude. Saved my life! <3

I’ve never had a worse doctor. I went in to get treatment for endometriosis and left in tears. Dr. Kivnick dismissed every one of my concerns— even saying that this was something I would just have to deal with until menopause. He refused to offer any options for treatment other than ineffective hormonal methods I’d already tried. I cannot disrecommend him enough. If you’re looking to be taken seriously or helped in any way, go to a different doctor.

I'm writing this on 3/4/2022. 4.5 years ago, Dr. Kivnick helped my wife give birth to our beautiful daughter. He was professional, kind, friendly, and efficient.

Dr. Kivnick did my fibroids surgery. Removed 16 fibroids with c-section. I felt great after a week. He is the most most knowledgeable and caring doctor I have ever met. Before my surgery a doctor told me that he is the best doctor in Southern California which is true. I had a great experience with him and his team. I don’t know how to thank him.... I wish him and his family health and happiness.

This doctor delivered my son. He used “teaching me how to breast feed” to inappropriately touch my breast. I reported to Kaiser and they did nothing.

I had Dr. Kivnick for the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy. He was nice during the first appointment I had with him but afterwards, he did not seem to care about my progress or would judge my progress. The second meeting, I had asked him what I could do for back pain in which he answered "give birth"... I was only 15 weeks at the time and I did not find it funny when he said that because I was genuinely concerned with the back pain I was experiencing at the time. He then proceeded to say "google it... just type in lower back stretches safe for pregnant women". This only made me lose my trust in him. The following appointment, he asked me what my symptoms were and as I was beginning to tell him, he said "hold on, there's something else I need to say" and never went back to the topic of my symptoms again. I did not feel like he cared about me or the pregnancy the first 20 weeks and have switched doctors for the reasons stated above.

Had a hysterectomy on Dec. 4th. Felt great a week later, Dr. Kivnick called the day after surgery, which was a Sat. Answered all my questions and then again a week later. Love the level of care, compassion and experience. Very through and patient in answering all my questions and making sure I thrive. Had a great experience with the Anesthesiologists, handled my pain in the hospital with out trauma, no nausea, etc. Overall great experience.

I first met Dr. Kivnic 21 years ago when I was pregnant with my oldest child, he delivered 3 of my 5 children. Hands down the BEST obstetrician at Kaiser!!! I've never had a bad experience with Dr. Kivnic. He takes his time, he listens, he's skilled and very professional! I was hoping to have my last baby before he retires. Being that I'm a high-risk C-section mom, he's the only Dr that I trust to deliver my baby. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with secondary infertility. Just praying I'll get pregnant soon before he retires??

Dr.Kivnick recently performed my open myomectomy. He is a stellar physician. He explained every part of the process and put me at ease. I felt absolutely confident with his skill level and his bedside manner. He is not only an amazing doctor, but also an amazing human being. He made me feel heard and understood with all my concerns. He is straight forward with information, but never makes you feel rushed or like you are just "another patient." Frankly, I feel blessed knowing I'm in his care.

Dr Kivnick is both intelligent and pragmatic; the best combination in a doctor or you could hope for!
