Absolutely rude.
I saw Dr Abbassi for pain management. He was rude, cut me off every time I spoke and was agitated by my presence. He literally ran me out the back door. There wasn’t any apparent reason for this treatment other than me being African American. I was referred to him recently and he refused to treat me. I asked why and the receptionist couldn’t give me a clear answer other than he was unable to treat me. If you see this man document your visit especially if you are black.

Caution: No room for human error. I have severe issues with memory and I was scatterbrained and and in the middle of finals and I missed an appointment that I desperately needed. Upon immediately realizing my error (1 hour after appointment time), I called to apologize and reschedule. They said they might actually refuse to do that and would get back to me to let me know. They never bothered to get back to me, nor have they bothered to pick up the phone, or return any voicemails or emails. It's been 2 weeks of acting like children and just flat out ignoring me. Unprofessional and petty at best. What a sad way to treat a patient who needs care. I'm overdue for treatment by a year due to insurance change and moving. I am suffering. But they clearly don't care about patients, that's apparently not why they got into the business. Shame on everyone in that office.

The staff and Dr. Abbassi are a wonderful experience. Very compassionate and personable with just the right amount of professionalism to set me at ease during my visit. Dr. Abbassi is very easy to talk with and left me totally confident and pleased with the procedure he preformed.

I worked with and received treatment from this doctor when he was in Pennsylvania, and I have never known a more skilled physician. He helped me a great deal.

Dr. Abbassi is an execellent physician. He is tripple board certified in anesthesiology, pain management and internal medicine. He is very merticulous with his procedure. He took the time to explain in details his procedure before performing it. He called me personally again the following day to check for any complication. I highly recommend Dr. Abbassi for any pain management needs. He is the best in Humbolt county.

He is excellent at taking my back pain away. However I leave there, every time, in tears because of how he talks to me. I always feel emotionally and verbally abused.

Kept insisting my 2+ years of tailbone pain was rectum pain due to repeated rectal penetration. I said I'd never done that even once, he said then it was probably due to an advanced HPV infection which I told him was also unlikely since I haven't had any kind of sex in over 20 years. My MRI report clearly said my pain was due to a uterine fibroid. He wrote in my records that I was "hesitant to admit engaging in rectal sex." Wish you could sue a doctor for engaging in creative writing.

Dr Abbassi is Awesome. He gave me my mom back. She was in so much pain . He has great bedside manner and is kind and really explains in a way we could understand. He himself called my mom the next day to see how she was feeling. All in all a great experience. I would totally recommend him to anyone with back pain issues. Thank you so much Dr Abbassi .

Dr Abbassi seemed to want to help but offered no viable options. I was told to not even make an appointment if not willing to have an injection. So I hesitated but agreed. Then dismisses facet arthrosis as a potential cause of my awful back pain. No epidural injection as offered. He blamed my pain on the very medication that kills it and dismissed me.

Dr Abbassi is the consummate professional. When you see him he treats you as if you were the only patient he is seeing that day. It is rare to find such an excellent diagnostician who also has a sense of compassion. A healer not just a practitioner.
