Knows her stuff
Dr. Palmer had taken care of both my parents before I chose her as my own doctor. She is very good at diagnostics with little input. She can take charge and be bossy when needed as my dad did and she can be gentle as my mom, with Alzheimer's, needed. She listens (and will change to communicate more clearly with feedback.) I have multiple medical issues and specialists and sometimes they don't send her information but she will track it down. She seeks my input and gives other options when I say I don't think I can be compliant with something. She has never once dismissed things I say (like older, white, male doctors have) and has never acted like my strange symptoms are all in my head, she seems to realize that we are not all the textbook patient.

Command demand doctor. Nurse Cheyenne and Dr. Palmer rude and never listens to patient concerns. Talks over your concerns and looks at watch constantly. Find a different physician immediately.

Awful Doctor
My husband was a patient of Palmers for 4 or 5 years. We thought she was a great doctor at first. Then my husband needed surgery on his hand and refused to sign off because she said he was non-compliant. He didn’t do his labs for his December physical and he canceled his April appt. Well first off we canceled in April because we both had Covid and he couldn’t even go to the lab at that point, then I had been working out of town for months so we rescheduled to December. He did go to Quest and get his labs done from the order she gave us for his December appt. Apparently her staff did not pull the labs and put in his chart so instead of asking she assumed. At his December appointment she referred him to Orthopedic for his hand, they needed to do surgery and she refused to approve it. I became extremely angry because my husband does everything that woman asks, every test, every specialist she sends to. Not once has he been non compliant. Needless to say I DO NOT recommend her for anything

DO NOT RECOMMEND
I was 10 mins. late to my appointment and apologized. I explained that I can barely walk. I have doc who can verify this. Also accidentally selected Trinity Blvd. instead of Trinity Oaks Blvd. on GPS. The response from the doctor and the receptionists, YOU'RE CANCELLED AND NO, YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE. I will never be back at this place and don't recommend this place or that doctor to anyone.

I'm puzzled by some of the reviews. I've had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Palmer. The only negative has been regarding communication between her office and my pharmacy, but a phone call to her nurse usually takes care of that. My interaction with her nurse has always been timely and positive.

Waste of time
What stood out to me this visit is that none of my concerns were addressed, I was not given the opportunity bring up all of my symptoms, walked out with referrals to things without a real explanation as to why I need that. If you’re looking for a prescription or a flu shot she is good at that. If you want to find the root cause to a problem go somewhere else, I did not feel heard at all.

I hope it is okay to leave a 2nd review because I have more to say. I wrote above that she refused to give me a script for a bone density test (DEXA) I would like to add that I had almost all of the well-known risk factors, although my age and sex alone qualified me for the test. Another thing, this reviewing company asks what you think about the staff, the building, the wait time etc., then they add all of those things to make it look like she received a higher score. The staff was fine, the wait time fine, etc., but none of that matters if your doctor is not good and you end up with osteoporosis because she refused to do even the minimum for prevention. Don't be fooled by a higher rating that is only high because of the other factors.

I feel things have changed not for the best
I was a bit put off by the nurse telling me I needed to wait as they had up to 2 weeks to get results to me. This was simple blood tests that normally I’d get results within a few days or less. Now it seems the muse relays messages about not to call or message too early. This never happened before. I’ve been going there 3 years. I don’t know if they are just too busy. Possibly take less patients if it’s too much. I’m staying for now. Not sure yet. Definitely not like it was.

Leaving a message for Dr. Palmer and stating that you're worried about your test results and would like her to walk you through them gets you a scathing return call from her nurse explaining that "Dr. Palmer responds to patients in order of importance." Asking if there's any follow-up testing to rule out the "potentially serious causes" of said results will get you another scathing call from her nurse stating that Dr. Palmer says, "if there was any follow up testing to be done, I would have relayed that in my first message." Bewildered by the attitude, lack of care/empathy, and just general kindness by Dr. Palmer and her nurse. I will not be returning.

We had high hopes for this dr after leaving a different practice with an older forgetful dr. To our surprise despite the reviews it was not a good experience. Her overall demeanor is pleasant however; she is very judgmental and makes assumptions without medical results to back it up. She pushes her opinions (not facts mind you) and does not listen to patient history to make the next call for care. The office will not allow a patient to see another doctor at the same office which is absurd. After seeing Dr Palmer only 2 times I tried to see one of her colleagues to see if the fit was better was adamantly told I could not.

read my test results and said I was fine. In reality I had cancer with a 6 month survival rate without treatment! I was already 4 months into this. If I took her advice that I was fine, I would be dead! Thank God another doctor really read my results and found my cancer. Stay away!!
