I've been a patient of these two brothers, the cardiologists, for approximately 15 years. Over the years, I have consistently visited their practice and had generally positive experiences. However, my recent interactions with them have left me deeply disappointed and frustrated, prompting me to leave this unfavorable review.Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, everything seemed to be going well. These doctors had built a good rapport with their patients, myself included. However, things took a significant turn for the worse during and after the pandemic. It appears they decided to bring an assistant into their practice, who subsequently saw me for my last two or three appointments instead of my primary cardiologist. My experience with this assistant was nothing short of unpleasant. She was consistently rude and exhibited an unprofessional attitude throughout our interactions. Her lack of empathy and understanding for my concerns only added to my discomfort. I explicitly expressed my desi

Top-notch care!
The Sofat brothers have been our cardiologists for decades. This includes my elderly aunt (late 90's), mother (lived to 103), my husband, and myself. We feel cared for like family, and when we have needed specialized care, they refer us to the best in that field. Have always felt confident that we get the testing/treatment we need - no more, no less.

Wonderful Cardiologist. Recommend Highly.
Dr. Shubir Sofat is a wonderfully competent Doctor. Last January - I went to him to check on missed heart beats. He and his wonderful brother Dr. Samir Sofat did a comprehensive evaluation of not just my heart, but also the arteries located in my neck, arm, and legs. They heard Bruit in my right carotid artery, and had me undergo doppler tests of the carotid artery. This was in January 2022. Over the next 8 months - my right carotid artery deteriorated to 95% blockage, and I had to undergo an urgent carotid endarterectomy surgery for plaque removal at the University of Chicago Medical center. Dr Shubir and Dr Samir gave me a new lease of life. Without them, I would either have had a stroke already, or would well on my way to having one. They are beacons of medical excellence. Period. Other doctors can follow their example. They went ABCD - Above and Beyond the Call of Duty -to examine my Carotid Artery. How many other cardiologists do it? Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shubir

Drs. Sameer and Shubir Sofat are highly competent, caring, compassionate, and dedicated. They have cared for myself, my wife, and my mother-in-law for more than a decade. My mother-in-law passed on her 103rd birthday this year after outliving her first pacemaker. My wife needed a valve replacement and they sent her to the best. The entire practice is what a practice should be in the most important regards.
