The WORST physician
I am a nurse and just moved to NY so I am not familiar with many of the providers here yet. Unfortunately, I was recently hospitalized for a neuro workup. I have worked in neuro trauma at level 1 trauma centers and never in my life have I experienced a physician as rude and dismissive as Dr. Betchen. She told me that my MRI results had nothing to do with my symtoms. The other neuro specialities that saw me all said that my symtoms were clearly due to the MRI results that she dismissed. Avoid her at all costs!

Worst doctor in the world
If it was possible to give a negative 1000 I would still want to go lower for this doctor. This is a long time in coming for this review if this nonhuman. My mother laid in a bed at Maimonides for several days. My siblings and I asked SEVERAL times to speak to “Dr” Betchen, SHE NEVER SPOKE TO US. Not once. All she did was send in her underlings to get us to pull the plug on our mother. I will NEVER forget this name FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. Simone Betchen, worst human being EVER.

Mixed feelings about this doctor
I saw Dr. Betchen years ago to refocus on neurological issues that seemed to be progressing. Perhaps she was having a bad day but she was very dismissive. After getting an MRI, no one reached out to me to inform me of any results, when I called no one returned my call and I was told that if it was urgent someone would have called me. I wish I had been persistent because it turned out I did need surgery. I hope I'm the only person who experienced this. No one is perfect after all, but I never forgot her name and I hate that this incident has any real estate in my head.

The worst doctor to see.
First time I came, but I didn’t bring the latest cd of mri. I was waiting for her two hours and after waiting they told me to bring cd. Second time I was scheduled at 9:30. At 9:10 while I was on the way, I received a call from her office to reschedule my appointment at 11. I was in her office at 9:30 and waited till 11:30, then they told me to reschedule my appointment. Same situation happened after two weeks. I waited for her since 12 to 3. The receptionist also was rude. This doctor starts her work whenever she wants doesn’t matter to patients appointment.

Took my grandma to Maimonides hospital to check her back pain. Waited two hr for Dr betchen she wouldn't even ask questions and spend less than 5 min on my grandma and tell us to go home. She totally ignore my grandma agony pain and dismiss us. We went home and so disappointed. My grandma is still in pain. Never experienced a inconsiderate and heartless person.

Dr. B. is the best in the business. She restored my 19 year old daughters spinal fracture like it never even happened. She took the time to answer all of our questions and ease my worries. As one of the few female neurosurgeons in the country I thank God I placed my trust and my daughters care in her capable hands.
