NOt the Dr but the staff
My GP referred my wife to Dr. Santenini, they texted me and I called, the person answered the call took her information on the phone and scheduled an appointment for 11/10 @2:30. I did not receive any confirmation so I called back on 5/11 to confirm was told that they don’t have her information but there is an appointment on 11/10 @ 2:30, confusing, the lady I talked to sounded more knowledgeable, we agreed that I sent an email with my wife’s medical records.I called on 8/11 to confirm and the person answered and proposed a Tele visit for the same date @ 2:00, which was OK. I called on the 10 to confirm since I did not receive any confirmation to be told that Tele visits are not available to first time patients. So much confusion that made me worried, my wife has a heart condition and I am not going to depend on such staff that is confused making an appointment to provide support for a heart patient. I cancelled.

Well the Doctor is Great But Office Staff is Lousy
The Doctor always listens and he is great but the office staff are not friendly at all, they don't answer any questions. And from what I hear the office staff is hired and paid by someone else not the doctor. I had a problem with the staff not paying attention to my pacemaker monitor not working for 5 weeks when they are suppose to know if the machine was not working. When I complained to the doctor he took up for the staff like they weren't at fault! I changed doctors. If you can't trust the staff then how good is your experience going to be?

I had a massive heart attack/ widow maker with 100% blockage on 1/7/23. I coded/ died twice and was revived each time before I was Transported to Med City Alliance where Dr. Sontineni was on call and waiting for me to arrive. He installed 3 stents and balloon pump. This saved my life until I was flown to a level 1 trauma hospital where Dr Sontineni visited me every single day, the first week I was unconscious but he was still there every afternoon. He discussed every detail with the heart surgeon and a week after waking up I had a triple bypass on 1/19/23. I think the guy great a d I know he saved my life that day.

Most Frustrating Experience I have ever had...
If I could give zero stars I would. This was a very frustrating experience from the beginning. Here are the lowlights: 1) I had to chase them down to make my appointment after they received the referral from my doctor. They claimed they would have got to me eventually. This was 2 weeks after they received the referral and they acted like I bothered them. 2) Showed up for my appointment. 1 hour later I asked if they could tell me how much longer. The front desk had not told them I was there and they thought I no showed. But they didn't see if I was there or try to call me or anything. They finally took me back, so just to read my EKG it was a 3 hour appointment. 3) Schedule me for an echocardiogram. The same day they cancelled the appointment with a text. Said they would call to reschedule. Never called. I called them and they said it would be like 3 weeks before I could get in. Didn't really seem to care that they cancelled on me. Overall, Dr. Sontineni was a very nice doctor and apolo

Clinically competent. Administratively lacking.
Dr Sontineni is a caring, kind, and compassionate physician. I have very confidence in him, and would be happy to continue my care with him. The front office staff are always courteous and try very hard to answer all questions without bias. The problem is the communication between the two. Numerous times Dr. Sontineni has ordered labs, prescribed drugs, or asked for follow up visits, and everytime the front desk has no idea what I'm talking about. I have to make multiple phone calls to get the labs, Rx, or follow ups. There is some type of broken mechanism in that office that Dr Sontineni's orders are not immediately transcribed into patient charts. Very frustrating, as the front desk can only answer my question by talking to the doctor directly. Just today, I asked for lab paperwork, and was told they would call me back in 10 minutes. I had to call back 2 HOURS later, for them to still not have the answer.

I am 78 years old and suffered congestive heart failure in April 2021. I was rushed to the hospital with 10% EF and started seeing Dr Sontineni for treatment. In November 2021, I danced to Taylor Swift at my granddaughter’s wedding. Thank you so much, Dr Sontineni!

No, I would not recommend him to anyone. He is short staffed. Which means you usually have tele visits, not sure what he can tell from those type visits without taking blood pressure and other vitals. The Dr. fails repeatedly to call in prescriptions on time for me and lacks compassion. I missed my fathers last dying words because he delayed so long with my prescriptions. I believe he is just in it for the money! I put one star because you have to put in a rating, but with this statement I am removing my one star. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE!!! Last office visit he blood pressure unit did not function. ?????

I was charged 25.00 for a doctor signature and the paperwork did not get submitted. The Denton office person is rude and refused to allow me to leave a message for the doctor when my continued care was not appropriately followed up on further complicating my condition. Great doctor but staff is incompetent.

Dr. Sontenini is a very polite person. His front office receptionist is also polite and cordial. However is nurse is obnoxious and rude and follows a "take it or leave it policy". Having seen Dr. Sontenini for past 3 - 4 yrs I was shocked today when this nurse was extremely rude and basically asked me to reschedule a retina surgery for which I needed a consult with Dr. Sontenini on whether I should stop my blood thinners. She insisted that he would need to see me in the office ( while for the past year or so they have been scheduling a tel. medicne visit with me almost every 4 months or so. ( last on end of February) He adamant response was that I would have to reschedule my retina surgery and see Dr. Sontenini in person at the office ( not tele. medicine) for him to advise on the blood thinners But that he was not available in time for my surgery and I need to reschedule surgery Feel sad for Doctor he would loose patients with such an attitude by his nurse ( only one in office)

My husband was taken in for Congestive Heart Failure and he was kind, explanatory and gave options and a great doctor. My husband and I both were very comfortable with Dr. Santineni. Since we just moved to the area, we were not sure who to go to but now we have a great cardiologist.

I am 20 years old tachycardic and I don't think I could have got a better doctor than Dr. Siva Sontineni. He not only explains your disease and consequences easily and understandably, he also cares about your views and opinions on medications. Also I called him at middle of the night around 2am because I was getting an episode of tachycardia and he picked up the phone and help me calm myself down. He is a great doctor.

To my surprise, the doctor himself answered the office phone and scheduled my first appointment. I found him to be soft spoken, kind, and caring. He thoroughly reviewed my medical history and current medications. He took his time during my appointment and I never felt rushed. I will be recommending him to my friends and family.

Dr. Sontineni never makes you feel like you need to hurry in speaking with him. He is a good listener and a reassuring and compassionate doctor. In the past year and a half I have observed his commitment for taking care of emergencies very promptly. He has his priorities in order and has helped me dealing with a cardiac embylism..
