If you want any treatment but birth control, avoid
Initially I felt listened to and helped, but when the hormonal birth control wasn't working as I needed it to to manage my extremely disruptive symptoms, she pretty much told me I would just have to accept having periods that mean I'm extremely fatigued, bleeding through a super tampon in less than an hour, have huge clots, and cramps that stay above a 9 out of 10 even with heating pad and ibuprofen. After I pushed and asked several times if there was any other option she said 'I could get an ultrasound to check for other things' if I wanted. (This had also been after 3 follow up appointments where she didn't do any exams.) The tech was great, but I was in so much pain during the procedure that I sweat through a hoodie. I got a call, not from Dr. McCotter, but from an admin saying that they didn't see anything and that was that. Now that I have a doctor that actually listens to me I requested my records and see that about 20% of the symptoms I reported to her even made it in my chart.
