Dr. Somprak Boonpongmanee, MD

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Boonpongmanee, and feel like my health is in expert hands with him. He takes my concerns seriously, patiently answers questions, and is proactive in screening and following the current standards of medicine for diagnostics and treatment. He is kind and caring, especially when delivering a difficult diagnosis, and has an established network of other doctors he works with for follow-on treatments after certain diagnostics are made. I will require yearly screenings for the foreseeable future, but some of that stress is relieved with the knowledge Dr. Boon is local and will be providing that care.

Dr. Boon is a caring physician who is thorough and professional. He knows when to listen and he knows when to ask questions. His knowledge and skill are penultimate. I highly recommend him for gastroenterologist care.

Dr. Boon performed a colonoscopy on me June 2021. It was discovered that I had Stage endometrial and colon cancers. I was immediately scheduled for colon surgery, but Dr. Boon wasn't convinced that this was the correct procedure. He worked with the surgeon and me, and the surgery was cancelled. Fast forward to a year of chemo and a triple surgeon procedure to remove the remaining tumors, and I just had another colonoscopy, and I am cancer-free! Had it not been for Dr. Boon yours truly would not be here expressing my eternal gratitude that the Tri-Cities has access to this fine doctor and all of his wonderful Staff!

I went in for a colonoscopy and the procedure went very well. Dr. Boone is so kind and caring. The support staff are also very nice, professional, and questions were addressed along the way. Highly recommend Dr Boone and Tri-Cities Digestive Center.

I would recommend Dr. Boone to anyone needing GI help. I was extremely sick when he diagnosed my ulcerative colitis condition and with his help we have been able to heal my body and make life feel like normal again. He is very considerate and kind and even calls me occasionally to see how I'm doing. He listens to my concerns and together we adjust medications as needed. He's wonderful to work with. He also isn't adverse to sending me out for a second opinion when he deems it's necessary. I would not want to go to another doctor. He's the best.

My grandparents and mom had been to Dr Boon so deciding to go to him was an easy choice. Like them, I had a great experience. He is the nicest person and very skilled at what he does. His staff is wonderful. I had a first colonoscopy about 3 months ago now. They made it easy and as comfortable as can be. It was a much better experience than I was expecting. I also had some follow up to deal with the hemorrhoids that were the real reason I wanted to go in. Dr B recommended a banding procedure. Three quick visits and I am free of them. Totally worth it….if you are on the fence about it, go for it. The only negative I experienced was VERY minor discomfort the first few hours…just the muscles down there feeling irritated. Acetaminophen can help that. I opted to just lay on the couch and relax after the procedures and be done for the night. Completely ready to go full speed the next morning. I highly recommend Dr Boon!

He gave me different options in regards to the appropriate treatment which would be best for me.

I had my first colonoscopy. From beginning to finish Dr Boon and his staff were amazing. Great communication and excellent care the day of the procedure!

He is very kind, knowledgeable and takes time to answer questions. You never feel rushed! His staff is very efficient. Office is very clean. Usually there is very little wait time!

I have had a colonoscopy and a banding treatment completed by Dr. Boone. I highly recommend his services because the care was outstanding, and I experienced no post treatment complications. The banding treatment is a great alternative compared to surgery because I experienced no pain following each of the three treatments and no physical restrictions were necessary. My understanding is that with surgery, avoidance of heavy physical activity and rest is required for up to 3 weeks post surgery. After each visit I resumed my normal activities other than lifting weights at the gym for a couple of days. No diet restrictions or anything else. Fast, painless, and no complications was an outstanding result. It was more than I expected or hoped. Very pleased with the outcome and strongly recommend Dr. Boone!

I was referred out to Dr Boons office & was very pleased. The front office was professional & Michael was very pleasant to speak with regarding appointment. Met Dr Boonpongmanee on day of procedure. He was very detailed as to what to expect which I appreciated. The whole staff I came in contact with were great!

Tricities Digestive Health (Kennewick, WA) staff are all friendly, kind, and helpful. I have seen Dr. Boonpongmanee for three procedures and he has always been professional, caring, calm, and kind. His attending nursing staff are comforting and professional and pleasant. The clinic is immaculate, clean, and cheery. I will repeat my visits with his clinic again when my next appointment comes due.

I recently had a regular colonoscopy cancer screening with Dr. Boon. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Dr. Boon took the time to sit with me and explain the procedure, the benefits and risks. He listened, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this health care provider.

Caring and thorough staff. I have been going to this doctor for at least 20 years. They have taken great care of my ulcerative colitis issues. I would highly recommend this facility and the doctors and nurses that work there.

On the day of the colonoscopy, Dr. Boon's staff from his marvelous nurse to Blake, his awesome anesthesiologist, were fabulous! Dr. Boon was marvelous. He explained the procedure to me, prior to the exam. The bowel prep process before exam day, was not pleasant; however, the colonoscopy itself was easy and painless! Dr Boon and his staff did an excellent job of communicating prior to, during, and after the procedure. They provided many opportunities to ask questions. They were calm and professional throughout. The two-day fasting and cleansing prior to the procedure was not enjoyable but necessary. The actual procedure was very easy and relatively quick. I highly recommend Dr. Boon and his team for routine colonoscopies.
