Dr. Son Dang, MD

I have seen Dr Dang for a while. Largely, no complaints. But negligence this week gives me pause. I asked for a specialist referral. He told me I would be called to schedule. A week later on the 7th day I called to ask, early. Voicemail. Return call came next day and the receptionist explained the person he was going to refer retired or moved. And she said how long it normally takes for them to get referrals completed. That time had come and gone with no word, so I asked for an apology. She snorted. The rudeness. She then effectively told me to do it myself and got off the phone. Would have water under the bridge, things happen. This week I was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury, the origin of which is unclear. I was asking on this sleep study the last few visits. And then when he said he would, HIS OFFICE DID NOT follow through, delaying what could be lifesaving intervention A WHOLE MONTH. I dont expect he will have the presence of mind to apologize. IF he does, I might change.

YVETTELJG: Dr. Son Dang was an extremely caring and very down to earth physician, he took his time, answered all my questions, never rushed me. I had him for several years, but due to his nasty office managers attitude and mistake on my cash payment saying I owed $300, my balance was $0 on my receipt that I provided because I paid my co-pay every time I went, she said I couldn't see him unless it was paid....after he got a new staff, I returned to him in 2019 and LOVE HIM and he's still the most caring, listening, professional physician!

Would not recommend. Very poor communication from office staff and extremely difficult to get something as simple as a prescription refill.

Will not recommend this doctor for anyone. His staff is rude & the office overprices the office visit.

Was my family doctor for 15 plus years and when I called today to make appointment for follow up from accident and annual check up they tell me you haven't been in over 3 years so you'd be considered a new patient and we don't take your insurance then said sorry and hung up. Pretty unreal that'ss how they treat their long time patients and they care that little about people .

Son saw him at stat care. I asked him to do a strep test because it was going around the school. He said no, he tested for flu only (which was positive). Five days later his pediatrician tests him for step and it was positive! Plus a double ear infection (one ruptured eardrum too)! At least the ear infections would have been avoided had he done the test like I asked. He was in too much of a hurry to get to the next patient. Place wasn't even busy.

Took my husband in to see Dr. Dang office for a routine check up. The physician seem to always be a in a rush. After he asked if we were feeling any problems... and said heart rate and blood pressure problems. The Doctor said very well and called in his nurse to do the rest. Extremely lazy doctor that did not care for our problems. He made sure to remind us to come back soon and made sure we pay at the front. He seems to be one of those doctors who are only in it for the money and does not care.

I took my daughter(1yo) to mercy medical center statcare and she was cared for my dr. Dang. She was being seen for a rash she woke up with that morning and was spreading. Dr. Dang was made aware that my daughter has been on augmentin for a double ear infection. Dr. Dang was in too much of a hurry and missed the obvious. My daughter is severely allergic to penicillin (her augmentin) and ended up in akron childrens ER. On strong doses on benadryl. Im very upset by this doctors lack of concern.
