Dr. Sonoo Advani, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Advani for over a decade. I see some very undesirable blood test results and I was shocked and confused and scared. When she came into the office I was very scared and started to ask her about such and such value . She interrupted me and said she would ask the questions. Then when I brought up the blood test again she literally screamed at me and and said if I was going to “ interrupt “ her again ( she was leaving the room quickly and I was like please wait I want to talk about the blood work) If I didn’t be quiet and just listen I could go find another doctor. I started crying . She chilled out ( I’d been a patient for many years ) I felt she had been competent before this. She would talk to me about personal problems and financial issues. I’m just sad because she was a good doctor but something in her has changed drastically. I am still trying to find another. Her staff is AWFUL.

Doctors have had a hard time managing my care since 2021. I started seeing Dr. Advani after being placed on several none effective medications and heart palpitations that have tormented me for over a year. After listening to why I came to her office, Dr. Advani ordered several test the other specialists did not. She was able to properly diagnose and treat most of my issues. I’m glad I decided to come to her office several more times. This doctor is highly knowledgeable in her field and other health matters. I highly recommend her expertise. Today, she would get ten stars ?? instead of five. So does her entire staff.

I've been going here for years but am changing. She is judgmental and can come across as condescending, although I think it's just her personality. Not a great bedside manner. That said, I don't need to accept it as my standard of care. The office staff is not the best, I think she confuses them. There are long waits, and the Dr. pushes expensive supplements every time for hundreds of dollars. I'm not really sure there is much of a "holistic" approach going on here. It seems more of sales-driven care.

Has a doctor ever hung up on you? Dr Advani just did. Guess it is time to find a new endocrine doctor because this is not how a patient should be treated under any circumstance!

Dr. Advani is amazing and a very caring doctor. I certainly recommend her to all my family and friends. She has helped me in restoring my health and continues to make sure I continue to do the things necessary to stay healthy. Her whole staff is great too.

Dr. Advani is the kind of doctor I have been looking for the past 5 years for my hypothyroidism. I began my consultation a few months ago and the changes she has made in my medication and diet have helped me greatly. She knew exactly what I needed to do (go gluten free) when she went through my medical history, how I felt and this is the best I have felt ever since I was diagnosed. I now sleep better, are more energetic. Her treatment has definitely improved my quality of life and I recommend her to anyone who is taking medication but not feeling any better. She listens to you and works with you and the best part she is honest about why certain things would or would not work for you.

Dr Advani rushed me through my appointment. She didn't let me ask questions and cut me off when I tried to talk. She was more interested in telling me what a great doctor she is in many different areas and pushed her expensive supplements.

I highly recommend Dr Advani. She helped me tremendously and I can not thank her enough. Dr Advani thoroughly evaluated my symptoms and gave me clear guidance and nutritional recommendations to follow resulting in the elimination of the symptoms which presented like rheumatoid arthritis.

I have been seeing Dr. Advani for several years. She is the best! She's very thorough and helped identify for me issues that other doctors prior to her had not detected. She is both empathetic and compassionate. Her holistic approach has benefitted me greatly as I am a 63 year old male with many health issues. Though I am physically fit and active and practice good eating habits and am at an ideal weight for me Dr. Advani helps me navigate my challenges and commit to a healthy lifestyle. If you listen to and heed Dr. Advani's advice you can not go wrong. As you can tell I recommend her highly.

BEWARE! If I was able to leave 0 stars that is what I would do. Dr. Advani is both a questionable medical advisor and a CROOK! I was being treated for gut-related issues and she recommended a special test administered by a 3rd party that was not covered by insurance (which I agreed to). She provided me with a price for the test but NEVER communicated her additional fees for the interpretation of the test results (which was as costly as the test itself). What I came to learn is the 3rd party provides a 'free' consultation for the test as I was NEVER told this by Dr. Advani. I believe she did this because she would have lost an opportunity to make more money. In addition, her office management process is a MESS and her staff is extremely disrespectful. It is impossible to get through to the office and their ability to convey messages is horrible. Finally, I found Dr. Advani's personal 'style' offensive and unprofessional; she personally insulted me numerous times. BEWARE!

I admire Dr. Advani, she has helped me so much with her treatment without putting my health at risk. She has always had my best interest at heart, for the first time since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes my A1c is below a 7.

Dr. Advani was amazing! I had a great experience at her office with all her staff and most importantly my digestive issues improved within just a few days! After struggling for years with irregular bowel movements, and constant digestive issues, Dr. Advani helped me get to the root of the problem and showed me exactly what I needed to do to heal my gut. She explained in detail everything about my digestive issue and also explained the exact process of how to feel better in a simple language that I could understand given I do not have any medical background. Dr. Advani is extremely trustworthy, kind hearted, and professional. I would recommend her to anyone.

I started seeing Advani because of endocrine issues caused by years of bulimia. I got yelled at for not improving fast enough. Extra hurtful when you consider that she knew the bulimia was a result of a traumatic experience.

So knowledgeable, attentive and experienced. She had a huge contribution to my health and quality of life. Highly recommend!

She is an excellent, warm and caring physician who took the time to thoroughly explain my thyroid scan and lab tests allowing time for any of my questions. She is truly a blessing.

Office staff is extremely disorganized and rude.

Dr Advani has a holistic way of approaching health issues . Once my situation was fully explained to her, she charted out a health correction course which over six months greatly increased my health and well being overall. Very grateful to her for all the medical advice.

I wouldn't recommend this doctor to a goat! I went in with questions about my blood work, and must've asked her the same question twice, because she slammed down her fist and said I don't understand why you keep asking me the same question! please do not question my expertise! And then she started to rattle off all of her degrees and certifications. And then stormed out of the room. And my thyroid numbers are worse than ever under her care. Goodbye Dr. Advani. Very misleading doctor..she overdosed me on thyroid medication...she literally killed me....i kept her pleading her to adjust my dosage but she will straight refuse and was simply treated by my pcp..(this incidence was after my pregnancy when i was breastfeeding my infant...we both kept on pooping all the time..she gave me a very hard time)once i become hyper in the very beginning of the treatment instead of lowering my dosage she told me to wait till my tsh reaches 8...Horrible Doc - stay away

I have had thyroid and fibroid for years. She’s super nice and knowledgeable. Since I started to be Dr Advanis patient my fibroid has been shrinking and my thyroid is getting much better. I am thankful to have Dr Advani as my endocrinologist and would recommed Dr Advani to my family and friend .
