Outstanding Oncologist
I felt its important that I share my experience with Dr Caffey. I have a rare condition that has affected my life and seen many specialists with no clue till someone told me about him. My first impression was that I was in the right place. He asked me so many questions in great detail and then offered several tests with clear explanations for each. Took him a few weeks but he finally pin pointed my condition and came up with treatment plan. I consider myself truly lucky to have crossed path with this wonderful Hematologist. He is a Gem!

Would Not Recommend
The office appears to be focused mainly on chemo and did not give us the holistic overall care we needed. No support groups, no nutritional guidance, no overall health assessment - just chemo given in a crowded room. The office gets very busy and while the nurses and receptionist try to manage, it can be chaotic and rushed. My husband was a patient for 4 years and recently passed away. No one from the Dr office even tried to contact us while he was in the hospital the last three weeks of his life. That basically says it all. My husband was very disappointed and realized too late we should have gone to a different Dr. I felt terrible for him as he was ultimately let down.

Brusque, superficial
My family had a very negative experience with Dr. Caffey. He was late for the appointment (which we understand, this happens) but then clearly didn't want to spend time for the visit to evaluate my elderly father for a new serious blood problem. He had to be asked to wear a mask in winter 2022 when COVID was an active issue. He walked in and briefly listened to my father's heart OVER HIS CLOTHES before asking any questions, and that was the extent of his exam. He refused to talk about my father's problem and symptoms without getting expensive tests first and coming back. Thankfully we found a different hematologist/oncologist who was caring and thoughtful. Would NOT recommend Dr. Caffey

Incredibly Thorough
Dr. Caffey made me feel like I was his only patient and had no hesitation in contacting the appropriate experts for advice. He ordered all appropriate tests himself, rather than just giving me a prescription to arrange the tests myself. He even called a specific doctor in the emergency room before sending me there. I have never previously experienced this high level of medical service in my 76. years. On my last visit to his office I saw a friend who was there for treatment. On his first visit Dr. Caffey had ordered certain blood tests. The next day this man received a call from Dr. Caffey at 8:30 a.m., and was advised of the results and the beginning of scheduling for long term treatment. He also had never received such remarkable medical service. Dr. Caffey is like the bulldog you want in your corner. Hereinafter I will refer to him as Dr. "Bulldog" Caffey.

when I walked to the office for first time the staff were so friendly and accommodating and they continue to be to this day. My first meeting with Dr. Caffey was so reassuring more importantly his personality and bedside manner. He is one of the most empathetic and caring doctors I have ever met and If ever faced with cancer again I am comforted that I have one of the best Oncologists in the area and possibly the world Ion my humble opinion). Thank you Novacure and Dr. Soren Caffey!
