Dr. Stephanie Costa, MD

Terrible doctor. I have seen many doctors, and this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Not only did she not warn me about putting the speculum in, but she dismissed my pain, and told me that I didn't address any of the issues/pain I went in for. In addition the rest of the staff was short with me/not friendly. One visit was enough I will NEVER go back to her, and highly suggest anyone else to look for a different doctor, if you should even call her that.

Dr. Costa was the worst doctor I have ever seen. I have never had such a dismissive provider. I have had a hormone disorder confirmed by 7 different physicians and the charts and test results to prove it over the course of a decade, but during my new patient visit she insisted I did not have this condition and refused to include it in my chart. She conducted no tests to come to that conclusion and this was before my examination. When I asked where my symptoms were coming from if they were not caused by the hormone disorder and she told me to try meal planning. She was very rough with my examination and did not provide me with the care I came to see her for, which was to get further treatment for my worsening symptoms. She told me I was wrong and so were 7 of the providers I have seen including primary care physicians, dermatologists, gynecologists, and endocrinologists. I do not trust her abilities to assess the needs of patients and supply them with adequate care.

I have been seeing Dr. Costa for over 20 years! She is very knowledgeable and professional, understanding, kind and compassionate. She is never hurried during the appointment, but takes the appropriate time to examine, discuss and advise. She considers my overall health. She listens and she cares. I appreciate very much being her patient, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

I have been seeing Dr.Costa for 3 years now and I deeply admire and appreciate the level of knowledge and genuine care she brings to each appointment. She has been more like a primary care doctor to me than my own, because she actually treats her patients with respect and dignity and really talks to them like people! She has helped me understand so much about my body and she provides information to empower her patients instead of talking down to them like so many doctors do. Yesterday I was having pain from a hernia, and even though the GYN office wasn't exactly the place to go, I knew Dr.Costa would help me when no one else would. She got me in the SAME day and was able to get the right people on the phone to move up my surgery consultation. It's incredibly relieving to have a doctor who listens, cares and advocates for her patients. (I wish all of my doctors could offer her level of care). Needless to say, I highly recommend Dr.Costa to anyone.

I went to Dr. Costa this Monday as a new patient and I was very impressed! I switched to her after several bad experiences at my former GYN. I loved Dr. Costa’s passion for overall wellness and kind demeanor. Her exam was gentle and quick and she was understanding of my apprehension. Her overall approach for new patients is excellent and she gave ample opportunity to ask questions or to get to know me. I’ll give going back to her for sure!

The worst experience I have ever had with any doctor. She didn't seem to care about anything I had to say and brushed it off just to get to the end of the appointment. To top it all off, their office charged me an additional fee for taking too long during my visit. Excuse me for being a new patient and having some questions to get to know my new doctor. When I tried to speak with several different people at the office about it, I was directed to someone new. None of my messages were returned.

Very nice, explained everything, talked me through questions/problems and seemed very knowledgeable and patient.

Went to her with complaints of horrible adombinal pain and cramping lightheadedness, dizziness,vaginal bleeding GI problems vomiting fever and nausea. She completely brushed me off and was very rude and acted as if I'm making everything up. She did a vaginal exam that lasted for about ten seconds. She didn't text me for anything except for two STDs. I later went to the hospital and found out I had a bacterial infection and an ectopic pregnancy. Horrible doctor so rude mean and just a plain idiot

The staff in this entire practice is irresponsible and unprofessional. The nurses and techs are NOT pleasant, and they do not keep track of anything. One of the staff FORGOT I had a son when asking about my second pregnancy. Makes me worry about any pregnant mom that goes to this office.
