Dr. Stephanie Kuschel was the compassionate & knowledgeable resident that called me with updates - at least daily, for the 1st ~ 8 days after my cousin coded & was placed on a ventilator in ICU at MacNeal Hospital. Upon admission to the ER, the day before my cousin crashed, her Covid-19 test was negative. Her 2nd Covid-19 test was positive. Dr. Stephanie Kuschel went above and beyond to explain my cousin’s medical condition and took the time to answer any & all of my questions. She understood, that with no visitors allowed in hospitals due to Covid-19, she needed to provide a clear verbal picture of my cousin’s status. I have been an R.N. for 38 years. I truly appreciated Dr. Stephanie’s poise and expertise, as a medical resident, during this unprecedented time. Thank You for being an exemplary physician - exactly the kind that everyone loves to encounter. ??
