My PCP could not get my blood pressure under control, so I was sent to him. He changed my meds, monitored me, and now I'm doing great ??!!

In good conscience, I could NEVER recommend Dr Simpson at Ft Worth Heart to a patient. Worst experience I’ve ever had! I was told something might be wrong with my heart and referred to his office. They performed the echo my doctor asked for but that was all. Never discussed results. Never returned my messages or call. Never reached out for follow-up. After my fifth or sixth request for results and nearly a month later, I finally got them. They were ABNORMAL!!! I asked the office when I could expect to talk to Dr Simpson, but they informed me that my referring (non-cardiology) provider could explain the results to me. Go anywhere else or ask for a different referral!

After several years of care, I am seeing a new cardiologist. Staff does not return calls in a timely manner. Nurse gave instructions for me to half meds without talking to dr. Ended up in ER. I adore him, just need a more timely responses. I wanted an echo years ago. Never got one. Office is probably too busy. It’s extremely frustrating that doctors and staff don’t know you should taper meds without going off them cold turkey!!!! (Unless it’s an emergency).

My mom got introduced to Dr. Simpson after she was admitted into the hospital. After his caring demeanor during this time, I knew I had to find out how he could be her cardiologist since at that time she needed one. We have been so pleased with him and all of his wonderful nurses and team. They are all very nice and friendly at all times. Even when I message Ann, his nurse, or call her numerous times, she’s always very pleasant and sweet. I said that to say this, Dr. S is a great doctor. There are not enough adjectives to describe how blessed we are to have him as my mom’s cardiologist. Therefore, if you're looking for a cardiologist, look no further, he’s the one.

Dr.Simpson. I left appointment today after waiting in the exam room over 0ne hour. My questions for this visit is why has my ablation request since May not been addressed? I inquired about scheduling at least 3 times until it was apparent my inquiries were becoming annoying. I apologized and waited to hear. So far as of to day (5months) nothing. Why? Covid? At this point the conclusion I reach is that Ft.Heart prefers I take my health care elsewhere. So I will make an effort to move my care. Please release all my records once a request is received. Please advise Dr. Vijay. Sadly after all these years I have no other choice. And not sure what put me all ways at the back of the list.

After treating me in the hospital I had to request over and over for him to sign off on me going to cardiac rehab. Staff doesn’t return phone calls in an efficient manner. Messages are always required, never a live person to talk to. Pushes unneeded meds.

I was referred to Dr. Simpson by my surgeon. Dr. Simpson and his staff put me at ease. All of the testing necessary for me was done in the office. I thought that was very convenient. I would highly recommend Dr. Simpson to my friends and family.

I went to Dr. Simpson for a second opinion and absolutely loved him. He explained everything in detail. Even though he told me the same as the first doctor I went to he went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything. The day of my procedure he also explained everything as it proceed. He went through my wrist instead of my groin which made it so much easier on me. I was able to leave within an hour after my procedure.
