I highly recommend Dr. Rana as an orthopedic surgeon for hip replacement from beginning to end. I had a very positive experience from visit one. He made me feel comfortable and I trusted him. I believe he’s a very skilled surgeon and my recuperation was incredible! By week three I was driving and back to work. I remember before surgery I went into the office with a list of questions. He was very patient with me. Listen to me very carefully and answered all my questions. If you’re thinking of a hip replacement, he’s your guy!

In April of 2019 I was referred to Dr. Rana for my right knee total replacement. He explained everything in such detail and gave me literature that I had absolutely no questions or concerns going into the surgery. Needless to say it was a complete success with minimal pain. In 2024 it was time for my left knee to be replaced. Even though I moved 80 miles away, there was no doubt in my mind who I wanted to perform the surgery. Dr. Rana, once again, replaced my knee successfully and with even less pain and discomfort than the first time. I would highly recommend him to any and everyone.

Dr. Sumit Rana’s surgical expertise was obvious because the outpatient total hip arthroplasty was a complete success. I was back to work in a week and a half!The excruciating pain in my right hip was GONE the moment I opened my eyes after a successful surgery. Due to the extreme damage to my hip Dr. Rana didn’t have an easy job on his hands but you never would have known. Right from the first meeting I felt complete confidence in Dr. Rana. Every phase of the total knee replacement procedure from pre op to post have been a very positive experience. After a remarkably short 5 weeks I have zero pain and complete range of motion. I have been able to return to all activities including fairly advanced weightlifting. Dr.Rana performed a Robotic Total Knee Replacement for my husband. Right knee was first and then his left knee was done. I will re-iterate my husband’s comments that Dr. Rana’s surgical skills are impeccable and has a really terrific bedside manner. He is very easy to talk to. We did not know Dr. Rana but even before my husband’s first appointment we read many bio’s on him and knew he was the doctor we wanted. The surgery scheduler, Annel is phenomenal and the packet of information became our Bible. His nurse will call you before the surgery to go over everything, is there after the surgery and calls the next day as well as Dr. Rana. Quality of life now is a game changer and Dr. Rana will always be our doctor of choice.

I am a 68-year-old man who recently had a robotic-assisted total knee replacement from Dr. Rana. I could not be more pleased by the outcome of my surgery. I was encouraged by Dr. Rana’s excellent reviews, as well as his record of no infections in over 3,000 surgeries. Whenever we met, he was always very thorough and patient and explained the pros and cons of the surgical options available. In our pre-op meeting, he also provided a multi-page document detailing everything I needed to know, plan for, and expect both leading up to and my procedure. Following my surgery, I was able to ditch my walker within a couple of days, and within two weeks could walk six blocks, unassisted, without any pain or discomfort. After two-weeks, he also cleared me to drive and go back to work…so much faster than I would ever have imagined. While everyone’s results will be different, you can be comfortable knowing that with Dr. Rana, you will have the best chance of a fast and successful outcome.

Dr. Rana performed my hip replacement surgery last November (2024) . It went very smoothly, and the recovery was amazingly stress-free and quick. I arrived for the surgery at 7 a.m. and was headed home before 11 a.m., already taking steps. Post-surgical routine, items I needed (walker, ice machine, ice packs, etc) were all delivered to my home ahead of time. Dr. Rana also set up my at-home rehab sessions. Recovery was faster and easier than I expected. All in all a first class experience.

I have had 2 total knee replacements within the past year. I was referred to Dr. Rana from my primary care physician and I could not be more pleased with the results. My 87 year old dad had his left hip replaced recently. We were set at ease from the very first consultation. The staff was courteous and Dr. Rana was very good at explaining the procedure and what to expect. The surgery was seamless and my dad says he had no pain at all during or after the surgery. He has much more mobility now and no longer needs a wheelchair.
