I promise you not all rheumatologist are like her
I was a patient of Dr. Gangasani several years ago and quite honestly because of how horrible my experience was with her I avoided going to another rheumatologist for almost a decade! Now once again I am having to deal with her... I have been attempting to get my medical records since the beginning of December 2023 this time around. (I left multiple voicemails back in 2018 fort records during my pregnancy with no return call or information provided) This time I have left two voicemails and even spoke to her MA. She found me in her system (wrong DOB to boot).I let her know about my voicemail attempts (their menu even has an option for medical records so I know I left my VM for the right person)I told the MA all I really needed was the labs showing I have APS. The MA said she would have to talk to the DR and see if she can give me that information. She said she would call me back but never asked for my number - I still have the same number as when I saw her last so on the off chanc

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but here we find ourselves. I only met with Dr. Gangasani once and that was enough for me. I was looking to switch to a rheumatologist closer to me and did a new patient intake. Dr. Gangasani was rude, argumentative, and demeaning. She told me I wasn't physically ill despite a mountain of positive tests, bloodwork, and a bone marrow biopsy. She suggested that I was "dramatizing it for attention" and that I needed to seek psychological assistance instead. The next rheumatologist was horrified by this exchange and confirmed that it was not in my head. I left this appointment saddened and demoralized. Save your time and go to someone else.

Please do not go see this doctor. She is condescending, argumentative, not collaborative in your healthcare, and cannot admit when she's wrong. You will wait hours in her office every single time you have an appt. Every time you call to reach the MA for any reason, you will get the voicemail. She WOULD NOT approve my Humira in retaliation to a disagreement we had. Instead, she let me suffer in pain while I waited to get in and see another MD. TERRIBLE MD. Wish I could type more.

I thought Dr G was incredibly thorough, as well as sympathetic to my pain. I did wait about an hour past my appt. the first time she saw me. But, she gave me my time too...I never felt rushed. She was the first doctor in over 6 years that took the time to hear all of my symptoms (even if they were not her area). I am very grateful I found her.
