Dr. Susan Bukata, MD

Brilliant

As a Black, educated woman I found her behaviour to be disrespectful, rude, and extremely condescending. She is not at UCLA but I would never, ever see her if my life depended upon it.

I have been under Dr. Bukata's care since I was a teenager, when she replaced my knee and part of my femur as part of my treatment for osteosarcoma. Since then, she has been a valuable source of information and wisdom pertaining to many different aspects of my care that aren't just related to orthopedics. She is kind, yet is confident in making hard decisions. I know that I could not be in better hands. I recommend her wholeheartedly to everyone, especially those with rare or difficult-to-manage conditions.

I have a rare metabolic bone disease and have seen over 17 specialists in 9 years. No one understands who I am as a patient or what my problem is and what the solution is. I had my appointment this week with and I have hope again for my future because of Dr Bukata. She has paid the price to have the skill and national expertise that have changed lives. Thank you Dr. Bukata for who you are, what you've done, and what you stand for.

This woman could run a McDonalds!!!! Regularly 2-3 hours behind schedule. NOT SKILLED ENOUGH FOR A WAIT LIKE THIS! Poor medicine! Lack of patient respect! Go anywhere but here!

Horrible Waited 3.5 hours past appointment. Really poorly run office. Wait not worth see this substandard Physcian.

She was hell bent on replacing my knee in my late 40s when I have no pain in my knee joint. The pain I have is from an osteophyte in the back of my knee that is digging into my calf. She is very set in her ways and believes her solution is the only solution to a problem. I would not recommend her if I was missing a leg. Her knowledge and accomplishments are wasted because if her poor attitude and inability to put patient care before all else. Use her at your own risk.

Horrible doctor and person..Butcher Bukata is what she is known as. She rendered a 22 yr. old crippled with only one leg working. Her excuse in trial was he is a nice kid and things happen..Never go to her.

Dr Bukata operated on my elbow, she did an excellent job. I had no post op pain and the wound healed well. She has a lovely disposition and is clearly a superior doctor.

She was very easy to talk to and was very prepared with my medical history, which was very important for my potential surgery. I felt confident with her as a surgeon and she followed me post surgically well. It was a simple surgery but important to me. She did a great job. I was just diagnoised with breast cancer and she went above and beyond to answer my cancers and dispel my fears. She supported my decision to have a bilateral mastectomy. She helped with my pain and mobility.
