Not Impressed
I needed surgery for an ear tube in an adult. (Me) He explained that he would numb the inside of the ear and then do the quick surgery. Shouldn't hurt he said. He did spray the inside of the ear, but didn't wait for it to take effect. Lots of pain, but tube finally placed. But, there has been no improvement in my hearing and there is no drainage. His office does NOT provide After Visit Summaries nor written Post Operative Instructions. A couple of verbal instructions. I feel lost and am seeking another ENT.It looks like he didn't the minimal doctor training and then stopped.

Took my 3 year old daughter in to see him. He could careless about what was going on just said 10 to 20 times (I'm front of her) wow she's morbidly obese. Yes ok she is but you don't have to repeat it. Next he told me I was lying about my daughter not over eating. Excuse me I know what she eats. Didn't care one bit that it's probably genetic. Told me my daughter was gonna die and in so many words I was killing her. How about be a doctor run some test!!!! For him to jump out there and say this really upset me. The love for my children saved him a good old fashion verbal tongue lashing!!!!I DO NOT recommend him. He may be educated medically but he has NO bedside manners at all!!!! So arrogant and RUDE!!!!

Awful! Never saw him after almost a 2-hr wait!
Kept me waiting almost two hours &!then when I asked what was going on, the receptionist calmly told me he ALWAYS ran late. She smiled as she told me two people were ahead of me. By then I was done but an apology would have been nice! Definitely do NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRACTICE!

Arrogant & critical of other professionals
Dr. Thompson spent most of the time saying how much better their equipment is and criticizing other health care professionals. Very arrogant and off-putting. May know his stuff but not worth dealing with his condescending attitude.

Never Again
Could not be less impressed with Tab Thompson. Insulting and condescending. I have now heard that he is known for his poor behavior. Front office staff was also very unprofessional. The receptionist was sitting in clear view at the front desk openly eating a hamburger. Unbelievable.

Dr. Thompson removed a melanoma from inside my ear and got it all the first time. Very down to earth and gets right to the problem confidently.

My experience was not positive. Staff was helpful. Will definitely get a second opinion. Was too dramatic about my previous medical history.

Thought I had sinus problem for years. Dr. Thompson's exam showed a deviated septum and scar tissue from cancer surgery. Had surgery to correct both and breathing much better now. The doctor and staff were friendly and very helpful.

Dr. Tab Thompson is the only doctor who has been able to help me understand and treat my chronic sinus problems that have plagued me since a child. The balloon plasty he performed went flawlessly. He's now the only doctor I trust to treat any ENT issues I have. I will drive 3 hours from NC and take a day off work just to see him. Thank you Dr. Thompson! You have literally made a huge difference in my life. I cannot thank you enough.
