Dr. Tae Lim Youn, MD

I had 2 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Youn 2 years ago, but because I am due to go back to get my other 2 removed, the trauma of that appointment is fresh in my mind and I wish I had made a complaint sooner. I went in for all 4 of my wisdom teeth to be extracted, but neither Dr. Youn nor the assistants could find a vein so they couldn't get an IV in me to put me to sleep. They spent so much time trying to find a vein that I think they started to rush the appointment because they sounded very impatient. Then they told me he could only remove 2 of my teeth. That's when the doctor started getting really rude and doing absolutely nothing to ease any nerves, but I was scared. I was awake during the procedure with only local anesthetic which was traumatic enough. I'm not at all squeamish, but I started crying during the extraction and the doctor just ignored me, didn't offer more numbing medication, and pretty much left the room the second the teeth were out. Overall a traumatic experience.

I had put off having all four of my wisdom teeth removed for many years due to my anxiousness about the procedure. My experience with Dr. Youn and his staff was perfect from beginning to end. He is very personable and has an incredible bedside manner. I don't think I've visited a doctor (of any kind) who felt so genuine and 'present' in the room. He really cares about his patients, and he went above and beyond many times to make sure all of my questions were answered and that I understood everything involved. The surgery went well, and he followed up personally to ensure my full recovery over the next several months. His staff was kind, patient, and helped me understand the billing. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Youn to anyone.

Great surgeon / had extraction with bone graft - I freaked out but he was cool. Doc called to check up on me and took my phone call days later when The pain was rough. He is the first professional in Seattle who understood MAT and did not judge me for it. Most doctors hear MAT / sub etc... and are either uneducated about it and unwilling to work with you or judge harshly. Greatly Recommend this Surgeon !
