Never saw the doctor, but was a horrible experience, all the same. About 8 month wait for a colonoscopy appointment, which was scheduled at 1 pm. Started liquid diet day before procedure, with 1st prep dose at 6pm that night, and 2nd dose at 6am the day of procedure. Nothing to eat or drink from 8 am until procedure. Was also asked to stop blood pressure meds for 2 days leading up to appointment. On day of appointment, I arrived early and signed in. Just finished signing in, when I was informed doctor was leaving for the day. No explanation, no nothing, just that she had to leave for the day. I know there can be emergencies, and that things can happen, but after all you go through leading up to a colonoscopy, you would think an apology or something would be in order. Still mad! Would not recommend!

Dr Blackstock
She did my first colonoscopy in the 90s and has done all others plus EGDs. I hope she never retires.

The problem is not the doctor but the staff. I received a letter from her office that it was time for a checkup. I have been trying since May 17, 2021 to get an appointment but the nurse will not return my call. I have called 4 times but get no call back. I do not want to find another doctor. I have a lot of trust and respect in Dr. Blackstock but I can't get an appointment even after they sent me a letter telling me it was time for a checkup. If this review is being monitored please let Dr. Blackstock know I need help with my problem. Thank You for any assistance you can give.

Dr. Black stock has performed EGD and colonoscopy for me and colonoscopy for my husband. The procedures went well with no bad effects. Follow up is great also. I have recommended her to several friends.
