Dr. Thomas McCaffrey, MD

I would highly recommend him as an ENT to anyone. I’ve been going to him for over 17 years now. He’s the best. Very caring, always listens and explains everything straight forward.

Highly recommend Dr. McCaffery. I was recently diagnosed with pharyngeal cancer. He explained my treatment in detail and answered all questions and was not rushed. Was very gentle when changing my tracheotomy. I was early for my appointment and taken in immediately. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes in his office.

Really disappointed!! The stuff was nice, but Dr. McCaffrey was really not listening to any of my concerns, after a long wait bc my appointment was delay like for almost an hour, he got in and the consultation didn’t last not even 5 minutes, he was almost running desperate to just get rid of me, it was an awful experience!! If I could give 0 starts to this doctor I would, Im not the type of person that goes to the doctor unless I have some issue going on, he took me for some type of hysterical patient, I assume that since he couldn’t help me with anything I needed it and he trashed all my concerns, the way he treated me as a patient that went there asking for help was not right at all!! I guess most of the doctors today’s day they only care about the money in their pocket and that’s all , they don’t really give a s*** abt what a patient is going through! I WON’T RECOMMEND IT !

Dr McCaffrey did my maxillary surgery at TGH(out patient) last month and he was the best! He was not only caring, understanding and compassionate but he explained the procedure very clear for anyone to understand. He was thorough before and after the surgery...he even called me the day after surgery to see how I was doing and make sure I did not need anything!! What Dr. does that ....thank you .. Ms. Cosme

I do not recommend this dr. After doing my mother's surgery he was very dismissive of concerns we had that she developed infection at the surgical site. At a post op appointment there was oozing at the surgical site (enough that it soiled her shirt collar). We were told that because she didn't have high temporature (had low temp) to just keep an eye on it and we felt rushed regarding any other concerns we had. Later than same day my mom was in the ICU because the infection had her nearly septic.

He has the knowledge and expertise but after having a major airway surgery he never visited me once in the hospital post surgery. His residents would come who had a terrible bed side manner and didn't listen to my concerns. At my post surgery appointment in his office I had a ton of questions but scoped me and ran off. DIdnt give us any time to address quesrions and concerns. We would tell his nurse we weren't done and She had the same I don't know and I don't have time attitude
