Patients beware! In December of 2017 I visited Dr. Thomas Truelson at his office (Fort Worth). I found Dr. Truelson on the internet under Urologists. Prior to my visit, I found that my annual physical (by my PCP) revealed a high PSA score, which indicated possible prostate cancer. I went to Dr. Truelson for a medical examination and consultation. He recommended a cystoscopy and a prostate gland biopsy. Unknown to me at the time, both of these procedures could have been safely performed in the office in lest time than a hour. Dr. Truelson performed the procedures on (12/11/2017) at USMD hospital, which would allow him to charge my health insurance more money (to pad his pockets) in my opinion. During the procedure at the hospital (I was under anesthesia) he was careless and damaged my urethra. I awoke to find a catheter directly from my bladder to an external bag. It was 19 days before he corrected his error (in the hospital again). After this, I discontinued his care.

This dr was the rudest individual I have ever been to!!! He walked into the room stating I was not going to like him because he was not going to prescribe me medicine that I’ve been on for years that was given to me by their office also and if I was going to ask for that refill that he was just gonna tell me to just go somewhere else. So when I asked for another recommendation he wouldn’t even give me one he just kept harping on that same thing prescription that I have been on and symptom free since 2014. He was just a complete Jerk !!!! He gave me a 90 day refill but he was not happy. I will not be back and I will file a complaint with USMD. Staff was great !!!! Feel sorry for them.

This physician prescribed Anabolic Steroids in the testosterone injections for my husband. This drug destroyed my husband's sense of reasoning and our marriage of 29 years. Besides the physical issues it has caused, Anabolic Steroids effects on the brain lead to mood swings, irritability, and depression. He has no sense of reasoning and is addicted to this drug that Dr. Truelson continues to prescribe for him for the last three years. I don't even recognize the once caring husband.

He was the most rude, mean, accusatory jerk that I have EVER met, but he would not even write an Rx for my "Very Enlarged Prostate" to help relieve the symptoms. (I asked for help, because I need to be able to dilate the ureter so that I can expel everything at one time instead of getting up every 30 minutes at night (and day too). He said I was LYING when I explained I had been having symptoms for 3-4 years! I am a self pay & he just wants to do 100 tests!. TOTAL JERK! Ofc. Staff LIED to me!
