Dr. Thomas Winters Jr, MD

Dr. Winters has given me outstanding care for my rotator cuff tears. He is compassionate, funny, and really cares about his patients. He sets a good example for his staff who are always laughing and enjoying their work environment. He doesn't seem to mind what your income is, he's there to fix the problem. I have experienced no negativity in his office, unlike other doctors who don't have the empathy for their patients as Dr. Winters does. He even bought me a lunch at a nice nearby restaurant once. And he validates parking! I would recommend Dr. Winters and his staff, especially Shannon, anytime for orthopaedic issues.

Dr Winters and his team including Anesthesia were Awesome!! Really went out of their way to make me feel good. Even got a French braid before I went home. Thank you guys ??????

I had a right shoulder rotator cuff surgery on July 16, 2019. It is now November 19, 2019 and I am still experiencing difficulty in both arms, as my left arm has to compensate for the right arm. Dr. Winters told me the healing time would be 4-6 months. While neither arm hurts like it did before surgery, I'm not pleased with the degree of pain I'm still feeling. Hopefully, it will get better over the next 2 months. I put my faith in Dr. Winters and have heard no negative comments about him. However, after I sit in the waiting room for an hour and he gives me (maybe) 2 minutes of his time, I'm not pleased with his follow-up bedside manner.

The doctor and his staff refuses to give me an estimate of the cost for knee replacement. I think this is unethical and even though circumstances may warrant a higher cost, why can't they just give me a ballpark figure? I am a single retired person who is not who needs to keep a close eye on my finances and I think of it this way-you can get a estimate from most dentists, plastic surgeons, veterternarians, etc. Why not him??? This creates a feeling of mistrust...moving on! NO TRUST!

I just had a rotator cuff repair eight weeks ago surgery went well recovery was easier than I expected it to be and I'm pretty much back to normal at eight weeks. Dr. Winters did a great job at staff was terrific

Dr. Winters is a very kind physician with a caring attitude, the way doctors used to be years ago/He is incredible in his abilities to treat his patients/This is my third time with Dr. Winters in unrelated incidences with orthopedic issues, & he truly amazes me with his ability to help me get back to a functional level/He did my left shoulder surgery, which healed quickly & did well/He also treated both of my knees conservatively without surgery, and I am functional again/I feel safe with him.
