Dr. Timothy Gutierrez Sr, DMD

Excellent oral surgeon. Competent, efficient, painless (so much as oral surgery can be.) He extracted a molar, put in cadaver bone, and then an implant over the last year (timing affected by COVID19). His staff is also fine.

I had an impacted wisdom tooth and the tooth next to it extracted two months ago. Because of my age (70), and how the impacted tooth was so close to a nerve, it was a little tricky. All went very well, no pain and excellent outcome. The dental office made two follow-up calls to check on my progress and offer answers to any questions. My only issue is that I was charged sales tax on the billing. This is the only time a doctor or dentist has added sales tax and I have seen several doctors, several dentists and a few oral surgeons/specialists in my life. In summary, I found the quality of service to be excellent, but felt the billing policy to be a bit questionable.

After 2 years of pain and going through a multirude of dentists and orthodontists that solved nothing, I was finally lucky to be referred to Dr. Gutierrez. He knew exactly what needed to be done and no more pain! He's a very personable Doctor. His staff was very nice and helpful.

I am writing this review years later. Reflecting on my experiences with this dentist and the suffering that I endured was not necessary. I had a molar I previously had a failed root canal done years earlier This tooth came out in pieces due to the drilling he did. This caused multiple painful sharp fragments over the course of weeks. The ABSOULUTE worst part was the dry socket I endured after. After many calls to his office, more appts and packing the hole.... emergency room visits..... he denied that I had dry socket. The pain was some of the WORST PAIN I have ever felt and hope to never go through this again. After a second opinion by a different oral surgeon he confirmed I had dry socket, Thank you. It is insulting when you call your Doctor and they keep brushing you off telling your over re-acting and I don't have what I know I do have. Tell that to my pain

Dr. Gutierrez is an amazing oral surgeon. He is very personable, knowledgeable and talented at what he does. When I had my wisdom teeth removed by him, I had absolutely no pain at all. If I ever need any other treatment, I will be going back to him. I would recommend him to anyone.

I had to have seven teeth extracted

the office did not disclose the charge up front. They did the "HIGH TECH" 3D x-ray and surprise me with $139 charge out of the pocket because the insurance isn't cover for 3D. Never go to this office again!!!

We had the WORST experience! From the rude staff who clearly lack communication skills to Dr Gutierrez himself who broke brackets and left an inch and a half wire from my son’s braces sticking into his cheek.! We had to schedule an emergency appt with his ortho dr to remove the wire. I also had to ask for post op paperwork. The way they explain their billing is also atrocious confusing. I would NEVER recommend this oral/maxillofacial surgeon.

I don’t want to use any other Oral Surgeon! For our family, he has extracted 1 adult tooth, 1 child’s tooth, and a set of wisdom teeth. The swelling, pain, and recovery time was so minimal. I’ve had a horrible experience with a bad dentist before and I am not just going to go to random dentists that I don’t know. This guy is the best! I trust his work!

I had to have an extraction due to a failed root canal. My experience was great. Staff were professional, payment well explained and understood, office clean, good hand hygiene, thorough explaination of procedure and what to expect after. Dr. Gutierrez was professional as well as personable. Highly recommend. No one wants to lose a tooth, especially me, but they made it tolerable. I'll have Dr. Gutierrez and staff do my implant. That's likely the best endorsement. I'll go back!

My experience with the Dr. was okay at best. I told him exactly what i wanted to acomplish and that i was working on a very limited budget. I was assured by the nurse that the dollar amount would not exceed the amount qouted (which i was required to pay prior to surgery, after surgery i was sent another bill). Classic bait and switch would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Support staff was excellent in optimizing my situation. Dr. Gutierrez was excellent and carried out my surgery with no pain (getting Novocaine was the worst part of the whole thing), no biggie. I had a fast recovery. Next day call to check on my condition. Excellent Doctor.
