Didn't hesistate to operate when neeeded
Dr. Sears was extremely wonderful and kind. I had my appendectomy with him Jan 2015. My insurance was not going to cover my surgery due to a previous misdiagnosis of Gastritis in Sept. 2014. Despite my insurance's push-back, Dr. Sears ensured that the surgery would proceed immediately and he'd deal with my insurance afterwards. He was extremely caring for my health and life. My appendix was rupturing as the surgery was being performed, and if he had waited, I may have died. I owe this man my life. He was very kind during the post-op follow-up and I am forever grateful for him.

U.P Portage Health should be extremely happy to employ Dr. Sears. For a recent gallbladder surgery, Dr. Sears thoroughly explained the procedure, answering every question and treating me with the utmost professionalism and kindness. Would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.
