Dr. Travis Hunt, MD

Dr. Travis Hunt is one of the most dismissive and impersonal doctors I have ever encountered. He spends barely a minute in the room, doesn’t listen to concerns, and provides no real answers or solutions. Instead of exploring conservative treatments, he immediately pushes surgery as the only option. Any questions you ask are brushed off, and he shows little to no regard for you as a person.Beyond that, he seems more interested in referring patients to his associate in pain management rather than truly helping them find the best path to recovery. There is no coordination between Dr. Hunt and BGO physical therapy, so any progress—or lack thereof—goes completely ignored. His approach feels rushed, impersonal, and profit-driven rather than patient-centric.If you’re looking for a doctor who actually listens, considers all available treatments, and values patient care, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I implore you to not make the same mistake as me in seeking care from Dr. Hunt.

I would never recommend Dr.Hunt to anyone. He was very rude, uncaring, and being my first visit with him, he may have been in the room 5 minutes max!! He barely looked at my back. Dr. Lockstadt had been my orthopedic surgeon and he retired, he, Dr.Lockstadt was a wonderful and caring physician, I, in my personal opinion do feel that nobody will ever be as caring as Dr.Lockstadt was. He honestly cared about his patients Dr. Hunt has no personality and could care less how much pain you are experiencing. So, had I known how he truly was to his patients I would have never wasted my valuable time and the long drive to see him.! So, Dr. Hunt I’m sure you will lose more patients than myself. I was more than disappointed in you.

Dr. Travis Hunt is a wonderful doctor. He cares about his patients. He is very qualified and knowledgeable. He is a very good listener and I would recommend him to anyone. He did my surgery when no other doctor would do it for me. I can truthfully say he took me out of a lot of pain. Thank you Dr. Travis Hunt.

I went to Dr. Hunt for problems I was having with my back. I was impressed at first because he found an issue with my X-rays immediately and said he could fix it. He ended up doing a spinal decompression and fusion, and six months later, he had to go in and do a revision. Each time he operated on me, my pain ended up getting worse and not better. After the second unsuccessful surgery, I decided to see another surgeon and get a second opinion. When he found out that I had been to see someone else, he took offense to it and ended our relationship right then and there. I realize there are always risks with any surgery, so I don't want to go so far as to say that he doesn't know what he's doing, but I will suffice to say this: If you are looking for someone who cares about you and is willing to listen to your concerns, THIS IS NOT YOUR MAN! He spends every bit of maybe two minutes with you, and if you have concerns, he just ignores them and makes you feel like you're overreacting!!

Dr. Hunt is very compassionate & highly qualified! I had multilevel back surgery & I am feeling great with no sciatic/nerve pain at all.

Dr. Hunt performed surgery on my ankle back in October. This was my last follow up visit. As with all my visits he took all the time I needed and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I would recommend Dr. Hunt to anyone.

Dr. Hunt answered thoroughly answered my questions and concerns. He gave me several options and explained the possibilities from physical therapy to surgery. He listened to what I had to say and was very knowledgeable.

I would not recommend Dr. Hunt to anyone. He never examined me nor took the time to talk to me about what was wrong with my back. All he did was refer me to a pain specialist. In and out of the room 5 minutes flat. The office staff was not nice either, more like a "car" lot atmosphere.

Dr Hunt has provided excellent care for my mom. He’s engaged with his patients, very communicative, and has provided answers to our questions. His office staff is friendly and efficient - very accommodating. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends...

My experience at BGO Hamburg was positive. I did not have to wait long. Dr. Hunt was very personable and took the time to listen, which made me feel like a person and not a number.

Dr. Hunt is amazing. After living in pain from previous failed back surgeries he was able to take away the majority of my pain. He always had my best interest in mind when deciding on best route of treatment

Had back surgery, did a great job. Laid out all options and let me decide what I wanted to do. My sister (an RN) an brother in law travels 130 miles to see him also.

Dr. Hunt doesn't have a lot to say but when you ask a question he answers it fully. I really liked his confidence that he could help me the first time I met him. Dr. Hunt saw me at the Hamburg office.

Just a great Doctor, I was in so much pain before my surgery. Now I don't have pain. A Dr. or staff don't really matter to me, but I can say he is the best on back surgery because it fixed me.

My experience was great. I was very impressed with the office staff. Very pleasant folks and seemed genuinely concerned for me. Dr Hunt was great and very easy to talk to. Being a law enforcement officer I had special concerns in my return to full duty. Dr Hunt and I discussed those concerns at length. His PAs were also great. I've been going here for years. I've been seen for my ankle, knee and shoulder. He has done MRI's on everything and ordered xrays when needed. He has always been so thorough and helpful. I currently have another knee injury and the E.r wanted to refer me elsewhere. I will not go anywhere else. He had no issues with signing forms for when in was in high school to get out of gym class until healed.
