My dad made it
Never in my life did I think I'd be having to take shifts with my younger sister to stay with my dad's intubated body in a coma. There were so many tears. So many unknowns. On a day I wasn't there my sister found comfort in Dr. Jespersen. I couldn't thank her enough for crying with my sister. For helping her understand my dad's plan of care when I wasn't able to be there. As a nurse it made my heart so glad and relieved to know she stepped in...up until that point a total stranger. Once my dad was stable and transferred to a cardiac floor I had a chance to meet Dr. Jespersen and thank her and I thought our paths probably wouldn't cross again. Last week my mother received a phone call from Dr. Jespersen at Fresenius to inform her that my dad didn't need hemodialysis after 1 month of it inpatient & 2.5 months outpatient. Dr. Jespersen, my family and I could never ever thank you enough for your compassion, respect, and excellent care for my dad. I wish you nothing but happiness in life.

Very attentive, knowledgeable and very kind
Dr Jesperson helped my husband through a tough hospitalization. She was very responsive and thoughtful with his treatment and very kind to me. We were lucky it was her turn to be the consultant during his stay.

I found Trish through all fabulous reviews. Nobody else could figure out the correct type and timing of meds to get my wife's systolic blood pressure down to 120. Should be a simple thing but we went to four docs including our PCP. Smart lady. Class act.

This is a review of my wife's care. Dr. Jesperson, you will know who I am talking about if you read this. In fact at 7:30pm, you called and spoke with my wife. You were the only one that believed that she could pull through after severe edema, liver and kidney failure, and after being dead for 5 minutes, heart failure. The only one that had hope that she could ever make it home and start her life over. The only one that believed in so many other ways. As you know, she could be off dialysis soon. God bless you Dr. Jesperson. We owe you so much. You are an inspiration to my wife and to me. That someone could be so compassionate and caring for someone that appeared to be beyond hope. She was told that during her 3 month stay at Portland Providence, she was the most ill patient there, but you continued to believe in her. We also owe Mike in dialysis our heartfelt thanks for saving her life after her heart arrested. I would like to meet you both and we intend to try to show our thanks soon.

Dr. Jesperson is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! She is the doctor who got me started on peritoneal dialysis and she has been . . . just so great. She is super-personable, extremely knowledgeable, she understands that it's hard to deal with kidney failure and dialysis, but still lets you know what she expects of you. She has been willing to work hard with me to figure out a PD schedule that actually works with my work schedule. I adore her!

I've been a patient of Dr. Jesperson's for the past 5 years and I knew the first time I met her that she was the perfect doctor for me. She's a very caring and personable. She's very thorough, explaining everything - why and what she's looking for and then follows up with detailed information. If you don't understand, she'll find another way to explain it. Not only that, she is truly a partner with you in your healthcare decisions.
