Dr. Vandit Sardana, MD

I cannot say enough about Dr. Sardana and the great job he did with my total hip replacement. He was actually my second consultation for my surgery. From the first meeting, I knew that he was the one I wanted to do the surgery with. He explained the type of operation he would perform and why. He said the anterior approach was the best for me. He never rushed me once and answered all my questions until everything was clear. He is very thorough and knowledgeable, using the latest technologies and procedures. Through pre-op briefings and post-op therapies, Dr. Sardana and his staff have been excellent. My post operative treatment was amazing. He had me off the walker in a week and the cane in several weeks. Results have been better than expected. as I have been able to walk and exercise almost from the start. The pain caused by severe arthritis in my hip has ended.I could not be happier with my results. Should I need another joint surgery in the future, I would select him again.

Dr. Sardana should of checked my hip before doing my Knee replacement and done my hip first. I spoke to him about this but he said he will do the knee first and then check the hip. That was a big mistake on his part.

He should have referred me to a hand/wrist orthopedic surgeon right away. I had a fractured distal radius that was displaced. He said it would need surgery to fix but discouraged that route and said I should let it heal as it was instead. He put a cast on it. At the follow up visit 2 weeks later he still wanted me to let it continue healing as it was and come back in another 2 weeks. My hand was deformed, and I could not bend my fingers. At that point I told him I decided to see a hand/wrist orthopedic specialist. I finally got the surgery I needed with another surgeon in another practice.

from the beginning to the end of the complete process, including the replacement surgery and recovery was "fantastic"!! Went very smooth, everyone involved was very professional and caring, before and after. The amazing thing was the recovery time, within 2 weeks after the hip replacement, including therapy, I was off the walker and by the 3rd week off the cane! by the end of February and completing therapy, I was walking normal and doing things that I use to do 2 years ago. I picked Dr. Sardana because he is younger and updated on the new technology and procedures, what a perfect choice!! I would highly recommend anyone suffering with hip problems to have it done. it will definetly improve your quality of life. thank you again to Dr. Sardana and his staff and therapy staff.

I had my left knee replaced by Dr Sardana in February of 2020. Doctor is a great physician and quite an individual. His friendly manner, experience and expertise set me at ease as he explained the surgery and the special measures he was taking to tailor the knee to my individual needs and situation. My recovery was nominal and the results were excellent. I experienced no unusual pain or discomfort as I recovered; and continued with no pain or problems as I returned to golfing, walking, and other activities. I feel very fortunate and thankful to have linked up with Dr Sardana for this major surgical event in my life. .

WONDERFUL, COULD NOT ASK FOR BETTER CARE, both pre and post-op!!! He and everyone in office are very kind and caring! I have been in medical/ surgical/post surgical field for over 30 years and will not hesitate to use him for any orthopoaedic procedure !! Dr. Vandana performed a hip replacement on me using the anterior method. He and his staff we terrific during the entire process. This was my first major operation and I was very impressed by his bedside manner he and his team brought to the solution. I highly recommend him

I had my hip replaced in January 2020 by Dr Sardana....he performed the anterior procedure. Before the operation I fully understood what to expect due to the fact that Dr Sardana explained the procedure to me in detail. He is extremely cautious concerning post-op infection and the operation follow up care was excellent. Dr Santana is an excellent listener and caring doctor. I have recommended him to several of my friends.

The kindest, sweetest surgeon I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Love him and the staff. Beautiful job on my knee and a remarkable outcome. Highly recommend.

I could not be happier with the outcome of my anterior hip replacement with Dr. Sardana. With his help and that of his team at Beaufort Memorial Orthopedic Specialists, I transitioned from having virtually zero quality of life and on the verge of losing my career, to being fully functional again and being able to once again enjoy an active lifestyle. I was on my feet (with a walker) the same day of the surgery. By the end of the first week, I was capable of walking with a cane. I was then walking unassisted and without a limp at the end of week two. I had heard so many horror stories of lengthy recoveries following a hip replacement, but Dr Sardana and all those at Beaufort Memorial Orthopedic specialists have truly great methods to get their patients back in action quickly while keeping pain to a minimum.
