From the moment you walk in the door, your introduction to Kelly, and then your meeting with Dr. Vella, your entire experience is one of mutual respect and concern for quality care. Dr. Vella is upfront about any concerns she may have and is well versed in methods of mental health. Dr. Vella and Kelly make sure that your needs are tended to. I received quality referrals to an ongoing therapist as well as medicinal changes. I now know how it feels to be “happy” again. When one works diligently towards the betterment of their mental health, it is so refreshing to have confidence in the professionals that you are working with. I have benefited from both office and telehealth conferences with Dr. Vella. Kelly makes both means of appointments to be an ease.

Dr. Vela is a phenomenal psychiatrist who has truly transformed my life. Her compassionate and insightful approach helped me navigate and overcome significant obstacles. Dr.Vela has made huge changes in my life and happiness. The changes I am seeing with her help have me feeling happiness I haven’t felt in over a decade. She is very thoughtful in her approach and roots for you to achieve your peak mental/emotional well-being. I was a terrible mess before meeting Dr Vela. She was on the money with my diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr Vela genuinely cares.

I was put on 4 different drugs at once and told to take one of them as needed only to be told by my new doctor that is not even how that drug worked and it had to be taken daily to be effective. She was never mean, she was semi-caring. Just felt like she was a bit of a drug-pusher instead of working harder to get to the root of the problem or provide a proper and correct diagnosis. I would not necessarily recommend seeing her if your mental health issues are more severe.

Dr. Vela has been the most caring and professional doctor I have ever been to. My daughter and I have been seeing Dr. Vela for 8 years now. Dr. Vela and her staff makes us feel like we are more than just patients sitting in the office. SHE IS HOME FOR US!!! If it wasn't for Dr. Vela, my daughter and I would have different perspective on life.

Dr. Vanessa Vela has been treating our 7 year old daughter Elle. She has done a great job, as Elle had trouble staying focused. Elle was prescribed a very small dosage of medication, which I prefer. Elle has been doing much better, and is thriving in her dual language program at her elementary school. Dr. Vela has patience and is very kind. I highly recommend.

Dr. Vela has been my doctor for years and I would recommend that someone seeking treatment for mental health to schedule an appointment and meet with her to determine if she will suit your needs. I live well over an hour away; however, the distance was not an issue because my priority was finding a professional that I could communicate with. For me, Dr. Vela was the right fit and I have a great respect for her as well as for the progress she has helped me achieve in my life.

For the last seven + years, Dr.Vela has treated both me and my son, and has done an outstanding job. She is thorough, compassionate, and helpful in both her conversations and medical treatment. Throughout seven years of appointments, our average wait time has never been longer than 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this doctor and her practice.

I have been under the care of Psychiatrists and Counselors for over 40 years. My mental illness with proper pharmaceuticals, personal work, compliance, and continued counseling have allowed me to live and work in healthcare. Dr. Vela has been my Psychiatrist since moving back home about 7 years ago. She continues to keep me on essential meds. She has made herself available for emergency phone calls, ASAP appointments and she does not keep me waiting. I know I can trust her and her team.

I can say that I struggled for so long with so many Dr's that for a long time I wanted to give up. But my Dr. never gave up. She always has a smile on her face and always ask if I am doing okay. She knows that I don't have much of a social circle and just the fact that she ask with a smile to see that I am doing okay makes me feel peace. Thank you Dr. Vela for having my life that I thought I would never get back.

Dr. Vela has been a instrumental part of my being able to manage everyday life. I have sought help from several professional entities in the past and I feel as though she has discovered what I needed. I feel that with her continued help I will be able to make a full recovery to complete mental health. I would highly recommend her to all. Also she exhibits a great amount of professional integrity. I have been a patient of Dr. Vela for the past four years, as I was diagnosed with adult ADHD and OCD. She made me feel completely comfortable from the first moment I stepped into her office. From her front desk staff to her bedside manner have been nothing but caring and professional. I would recommend ANYONE considering seeing psychiatrist Dr. Vela and her staff.

I've never had to wait more than a few moments upon arrival. She listens to my experience with meds & adjusts meds as needed. She has been consistently pleasant. Once was 15min late (called omw) & she graciously fit me in. She's a no-nonsense practitioner, & I suspect that she prefers clients that are low drama/high functioning. Sometimes her notes are off or RXs are not written as discussed. IMO, Dr is best fit for responsible patients experienced with mental health system/meds/self advocacy.
